Yuletide Village card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are using product from the new September to December Mini Catalogue. I have chosen to use the adorable Yuletide Village stamp set to make my card.

 Colours in this card are:

To recreate the yuletide village card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Country Woods dsp- 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The piece of Country Woods dsp was glued to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card and then to the Shaded Spruce card front.

From the 4½” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card, I die cut a tag using the Greetings of the Season Dies. I also die cut the bottom of the same tag, twice from scrap Basic White card and tore the piece in two and set them aside.

I placed a ¾” circle, cut from a Post It Note near the top of the label and used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the top ¾ of the tag. The Post It circle was then removed and a little of the same ink added to reduce the blinding whiteness. Using the same ink and Blending Brush, I added the remaining ink to the torn edge of the tag pieces.

The pretty house was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I coloured it in using light and dark Petal Pink, light Lemon Lolly and light Crumb Cake. The house was the fussy cut using my sharp Scissors.

The tree was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto the tag and coloured with the light Shaded Spruce Blends Pen. The torn layers were the added to the bottom of the tag on Dimensionals. The house was added to the card front on Dimensionals with the bottom tucked behind the snowbanks. The tag was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Peaceful Season stamp set was stamped onto scrap Basic White card using Shaded Spruce ink. This was then die cut using one of the tags from the Greetings Of The Season Dies. I ran it through the Cut and Emboss Machine twice to make the tag smaller and lose the hole. The sentiment label was then glued to the card front.

A bow, made using Sheer Ribbon, was added to the top of the tag with a Mini Glue Dot and a scattering of White Loose Snowflakes completed the card.
