Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. I have used the gorgeous Tulip Dies to make mine.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the Tulip fun fold card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at
Pattern Party dsp – 5¾” by 1”
Flirty Flamingo card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Flirty Flamingo card – 5⅞” by 1”
So Saffron card – 5⅞” by ⅛”
Flirty Flamingo card – 5¾” by 4”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Pattern Party dsp – 5⅝” by ¼”
Basic White ¼” strip
Scrap So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green & Basic White
I began by running the Thick Basic White card base through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the larger front panel inside the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. I really wanted the front to have a lot of texture and this is a great way of achieving this.
The thicker strip of Pattern Party dsp was glued to the smaller front panel. The Flirty Flamingo strip was added to the embossed card front panel and the thin strip of So Saffron added to soften the edge.
Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies I cut a large rectangle from the Flirty Flamingo panel and a slightly small rectangle from the smaller panel of Basic White. I used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the Basic White panel and adhered the two rectangles together.
I cut lots of Tulip pieces from scrap Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Basic White card and leaves and stems from Granny Apple Green card. The inner Basic White and So Saffron pieces were added to the Flirty Flamingo pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The Flirty Flamingo outer layers were then folded over and held in place with Mini Dimensionals to give a real 3D effect. Gorgeous.
The flowers were then placed with liquid glue onto the inked rectangle and the stems and leaves added. The leaves also had a Mini Dimensional added in the centre so that they weren’t flat to the card. The whole panel was then added to the card front making sure to add my glue only to the right-hand side.
I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink onto ¼” strip of Basic White card, trimmed it down with Scissors and added it to the card. A trio of Brushed Brass Butterflies complete the card.
This card was made for my lovely Mum who has Alzheimer’s Disease and sadly, no longer knows who I am………….
