Tulips for a Dear Friend

I have been having fun playing with the gorgeous new Tulip Dies and have made tulips for a dear friend card for the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop sketch challenge.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the tulips for a dear friend card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 2½”
Simply Marbleous dsp – 4” by 2½”
Basic White card – 3” by 2⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Soft Sea Foam & Simply Marbleous dsp

The 5¼” by 2½” panel of Basic White was run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Bark 3D Embossing folder. I adhered it to the Soft Sea Foam card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of the pretty Simply Marbleous dsp was added on top with the same liquid glue.

Using the group of small crosses, I randomly stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink onto the smallest panel of Basic White. The panel was then added to the background using the same ink.

I die cut the tulip pieces from scrap Simply Marbleous dsp and put them together using liquid glue and Mini Dimensionals. I love the 3D effect this gives them. The leaves and stems were die cut from Soft Sea Foam card. The flowers were then added to the card front with the liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Art in Bloom stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on scrap Basic White card and die cut it out using one of the Layering Circle Dies. A small flagged piece of Soft Sea Foam card was added to the back and the piece added to the card front with glue.

I added a double Baker’s Twine bow to the base of the stems and a trio of Iridescent Rhinestones to complete the card.
