Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday blog hop where we are sharing stepped up projects with a glitz & glam theme. My husband works in the Antarctic and penguins are very dear to our heart, with that in mind I chose the sweet Penguin Place to make my trio of cards.
Colours used in these projects are:
Basic Simple Stamping card
Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
I stamped the snowline in 2nd generation Pool Party ink and added the penguin using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The hat and bowtie were stamped in Merry Merlot ink and the beak and feet added in Daffodil Delight ink.
Trees were added with Shaded Spruce and the snowflakes in 2nd generation Pool Party ink.
The sentiment was added in Merry Merlot ink. The panel was glued to the Shaded Spruce panel and then to the Pool Party card base.
I spritzed with Wink of Stella and added more to the snowline and penguin’s body. A trio of Fine Sparkle Gems completed the shiny bling.

The penguin, trees and snowline were stamped as for the simply stamped card. I then used a Layering Circle cut out the main part of the image using the spotlight technique. The main part of the panel was glued to the Shaded Spruce panel and the die cut piece added back in on Dimensionals.

Scrap Basic White and Daffodil Delight card
I stamped the penguin with his accessories on scrap Basic White card. The penguin was punched out with the Penguin Builder Punch. I punched out the feet from Daffodil Delight card. I fussy cut the hat and bowtie and added them to the penguin.
I stamped the snowline across the front of the card and across a die cut circle and added trees. I also stamped the snowline lower down the panel and added extra trees.
A Blending Brush added Pool Party ink to the circle and to the main panel. The penguin was added to the circle on Dimensionals and the staped circle added to a scalloped Shaded Spruce circle before it was mounted onto the card front.
All the cards were heavily covered with Wink of Stella, shame it doesn’t show up on the photos.
I hope you like them. Please hop on to share the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.

I love all three but especially the last one. I think I will give that one a try today. I don’t remember if I’ve ever used that tree in my set and I know I’ve never used the curved line image. I’m excited to make this card. You did a fabulous job! TFS
I am delighted you like the cards Wanda and I love ths stamp set and there is so much you can do with it. Enjoy playing with it x
