Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where we are showcasing fun fold cards. I have made a pretty tri-fold teacup card using the lovely Design A Daydream designer series paper.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the tri-fold teacup card, you will need:
Mint Macaron card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at a smidgeon over 2” and at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5⅝” by 4”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5⅝” by 1⅞”
Design A Daydream dsp – 3¾” by 1⅞”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 1⅞”
Basic White – 3” by 3”
Vellum – 3” by 3”
Scrap Basic White card
I scored the Mint Macaron card using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The score lines were then folded and burnished.
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the largest piece of dsp to the largest panel of the card base. I placed the two strips of dsp against the relevant panels of the card base and marked, in pencil where I needed to trim the dsp on an angle. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the dsp down. The pieces were glued to the card front.
I repeated this step with the 5⅝” by 1⅞” strip of Basic White card. The sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the panel before it was glued to the inside panel of the card base. I inked each word up individually before stamping.
The teacup from the Cup of Tea stamp set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut it out using the Teacup Dies.
The flowers from the Sending Smiles stamp set were stamped in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride ink.
The leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron in. All the pieces were then arranged onto the teacup and glued in place.
Using the Layering Circle Dies, I die cut the same size circle from the Basic White and Vellum squares. They were adhered together with a little Seal + and added the decorated teacup in the centre.
The decorated circle was added with Seal + to the front flap of the Mint Macaron card base, making sure to add the adhesive onto on the left side.
I used a Blackberry Bliss Blends Pen to colour in some Elegant Faceted Dots and added them to the flowers. A Baker’s Twine bow completed the card.
Such a pretty card. Please continue to hop around as my stamping friends have many ore pretty fun fold ideas to share with you. Next up is Danielle Kassing
