Today I have CASE’d my own card – see Blog Post on the 3rd November 2024. I really liked the card but felt the that the sentiment over-powered the pretty image. I decided to make the card again. I have used the Yuletide Village stamp set and this time I have combined it with the Peaceful Seasons stamp set.
To recreate the Christmas church card, you will need:
Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Poppy Parade card – 5⅞” by ½” x 2 Basic White card – 5⅞” by 3” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
I stamped the pretty church onto the 5⅞” by 3” piece of Basic White card with Pebbled Path ink.

I used washi tape from my stash to mask off the words I didn’t need from the sentiment I had chosen from the Snowy Wonder stamp set. I inked the word NEW with Versamark ink and stamped it onto scrap Basic Black card. I stamped ‘house’ from the Humble Home stamp set with the same ink onto the scrap card. I covered the piece was White Embossing Powder and heat set it. The words were then fussy cut and added to the card front.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are using product from the new September to December Mini Catalogue. I have chosen to use the adorable Yuletide Village stamp set to make my card.

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Country Woods dsp- 5¼” by 3½” Basic White card – 4½” by 3¼” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside Scrap Basic White card

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Yuletide Village and Peaceful Seasons stamp sets and the Greetings of the Seasons Dies used to make a Yuletide Village themed card for the Stampin’ With Friends Blog Hop
From the 4½” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card, I die cut a tag using the Greetings of the Season Dies. I also die cut the bottom of the same tag, twice from scrap Basic White card and tore the piece in two and set them aside.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Yuletide Village and Peaceful Seasons stamp sets and the Greetings of the Seasons Dies used to make a Yuletide Village themed card for the Stampin’ With Friends Blog Hop
I placed a ¾” circle, cut from a Post It Note near the top of the label and used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the top ¾ of the tag. The Post It circle was then removed and a little of the same ink added to reduce the blinding whiteness. Using the same ink and Blending Brush, I added the remaining ink to the torn edge of the tag pieces.
The pretty house was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I coloured it in using light and dark Petal Pink, light Lemon Lolly and light Crumb Cake. The house was the fussy cut using my sharp Scissors.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Yuletide Village and Peaceful Seasons stamp sets and the Greetings of the Seasons Dies used to make a Yuletide Village themed card for the Stampin’ With Friends Blog Hop
The tree was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto the tag and coloured with the light Shaded Spruce Blends Pen. The torn layers were the added to the bottom of the tag on Dimensionals. The house was added to the card front on Dimensionals with the bottom tucked behind the snowbanks. The tag was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Yuletide Village and Peaceful Seasons stamp sets and the Greetings of the Seasons Dies used to make a Yuletide Village themed card for the Stampin’ With Friends Blog Hop
The sentiment, from the Peaceful Season stamp set was stamped onto scrap Basic White card using Shaded Spruce ink. This was then die cut using one of the tags from the Greetings Of The Season Dies. I ran it through the Cut and Emboss Machine twice to make the tag smaller and lose the hole. The sentiment label was then glued to the card front.
