Wreath of Tulips CASE’d from the Catalogue for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing a project CASE’d from the catalogue. I have chosen a pretty card using the Tulips Dies to CASE and have altered it a little to make it my own.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the wreath of tulips card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base
Basic White card – 5” by 3¾”
Vellum – 5” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 4” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz & Mint Macaron

Using 2nd generation Sahara Sand ink. I randomly stamped all over the 5” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card.

I die-cut a circular frame from a piece of Sun Prints dsp using the layering Circle Dies. I placed the piece of Vellum on top of the stamped panel and laid the die-cut frame on top. Once I had decided on placement, I glued the frame to the Vellum with dots of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The leaves from the Flowering Tulips stamp set were stamped in Old Olive ink onto Pear Pizzazz card and die cut them out using the Tulip Dies. The outer tulip parts were die-cut from scarp Blushing Bride card and the inner tulip parts from Flirty Flamingo card. I put them together using Mini Glue Dots and added colour to the base of the petals using the Flirty Flamingo Blends Pens. The Mint Macaron leaves were die cut using the Natural Prints Dies. Using liquid glue. I added the flowers and leaves to the circular frame.

I mounted the decorated Vellum panel to the stamped background piece using dabs of liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set was stamped onto scrap Poppy Parade card in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. I then used a Layering Circle Die to cut it out.

I added a couple of loops of Elegant Trim to the back of the sentiment label and added it to the panel on Dimensionals.

A decorative border was added at the bottom of the panel. It had been die-cut using the Basic Border Dies. The whole piece was then glued to the Flirty Flamingo card base. A scattering of Fine Sparkle Gems completed the card.

A beautiful wicker 3D Poinsettia Wreath made for the Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop using Stampin' Up! products

3D Poinsettia Wreath- Stampin ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me today for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘3D’. If you have hopped over from the lovely Jill Chapman, you are very welcome. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes in the UK. Please continue to hop through to see all the inspiration the other participants have to share.

I have chosen to share the wreath I have made for my lovely Mum who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and is in a care home. As we are currently in lockdown in an effort to stop the rise of Covid-19, we are unable to visit her. I made her this pretty Poinsettia Wreath for the lovely staff who care for her to hang on her door.

To recreate the 3D Poinsettia Wreath, you will need:

Real Red card stock
Flirty Flamingo card stock
Garden Green stock
Soft Sea Foam card stock
Whisper White card stock
Silver Foil card

Taking the stunning Metallic Mesh Ribbon, I started wrapping it loosely around a pretty wicker wreath bought from a local craft store. I love this ribbon; it is so light and fragile looking but adds such a pop of style.

Christmas Wreath using the Painted Harvest stamp set

Today I am sharing the card I made for this month’s team challenge the theme of which was ‘make a Christmas project using non Christmas supplies. I decided to try making a Christmas Wreath using my Stamparatus and the Painted Harvest stamp set which hasn’t had a lot of love recently

Before starting this card I watched the video by Dawn of DoStamping –  where she explains how to make a template to use with the Stamparatus. I used my retired Square dies and Window Sheet to make the template for this particular; I wanted a larger sized wreath.

Making the Christmas Wreath card

I began by placing my Window Sheet template in the corner of my Stamparatus. I placed a 3¾” square of Whisper White cardstock in the negative space at the centre of the template; the square is exactly the same size as the negative space. I placed the solid leaf stamp onto the Whisper White cardstock and picked it up with one of the plates.

Pretty Christmas Wreath made using the Stamparatus and the Painted Harvest stamp set

www.crafty-rootes.com – Christmas Wreath made using the Painted Harvest stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

I inked the stamp with Granny Apple Green ink and stamped it down. I rotated the cardstock one turn within the template and inked up and stamped the leaf image in the same way. I repeated this step by stamping the leaf all the way round the panel.

Next I positioned the more detailed leaf stamp, inked up in Mossy Meadow ink and stamped it around the wreath as before. I stamped the sentiment from the Mistletoe Season stamp set in the centre of the wreath in Real Red ink and added some of the gorgeous new Red Rhinestones to give some colour and shine.

I ran a 5⅝” by 3⅞” panel of Real Red cardstock through the Big Shot with the Layering Leaves embossing folder and added the stamped panel on top with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a piece of ⅜” Real Red Cotton Ribbon around the join securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then added to a Thick Whisper White card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added a bow in the same ribbon.
