A pretty pink Christmas trees card made using the Trees for Sale stamp set and Tree Lot Dies by Stampin' Up!

Pink Christmas Trees

Here is a pretty Christmas card featuring pink Christmas trees and made using the Trees For Sale stamp set and Tree Lot Dies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pink Christmas trees card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Blackberry Bliss card – 4¾” by 3”
Basic White card – 4⅝” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

The Trees for Sale stamp set is a 2-step stamping set and I began by stamping the largest solid image in 2nd generation Blushing Bride ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. 2nd generation means inking up the image, stamping onto scrap paper then stamping again onto the Basic White panel. This gives a lighter shade of your chosen colour.  I repeated this step to give 3 trees of different height.

The second, more detailed image was stamped over the top in full strength Blushing Bride ink.

The 2 images were stamped again, the solid image in 2nd generation Blackberry Bliss and the detailed image in full strength Blackberry Bliss ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Tree Lot Dies. The die cut tree was then added to the panel on Dimensionals.

Using Basic Gray ink I added 2 strings of lights and coloured in the bulbs with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used a Blending Brush to add a little Blushing Bride ink to the background and then added some Blushing Bride stars. The stamped panel was then glued to the Blackberry Bliss layer.

I felt the Blushing Bride card front needed a little something so stamped the largest detailed tree across the bottom in Blushing Bride ink. I added some light strings in Blushing Bride ink at the top of the card front. A few stars completed the decoration. The stamped panel was then added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

We ran one of the Basic White panels through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. A length of Pool Party Ribbon was wrapped around the layer before it was glued to the Old Olive card front.

We added Pool Party ink to the die cut Circle using a Blending Brush.  Two trees were then stamped onto the circle, the solid background in Garden Green and the detailed image in Evening Evergreen. The circle was then adhered to the card front.

The large and small trees were die cut from scrap Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Garden Green & Evening Evergreen card. They were glued together and added to the card front n Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of Basic White card in Evening Evergreen ink. We trimmed it down and flagged the ends with scissors. It was then added to the card front.

I had prepared a negative circle mask ahead of class which we adhered to the smaller panel of Basic White. We then used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the negative space, peeled the masking paper off and voila…… a soft, blue circle.

The large tree was stamped in the centre of the circle in Garden Green and Evening Evergreen ink and a smaller tree added on each side in Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow.

The greeting was stamped below in Evening Evergreen ink and the panel glued to the Garden Green layer.

4 Christmas cards made using the one-sheet wonder technique and the Leaves of Holly stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Holly One-Sheet Wonder for September Classes

We had such fun in classes over the last couple of weeks using the Leaves of Holly stamp set to create a holly one sheet wonder and then cut the sheet apart to create four simple cards.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the holly one sheet wonder cards, you will need:

1 sheet of A4 sheet of Basic White card – to stamp on
4 Card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
4 Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Basic White strip ¾” wide

Creating the one sheet wonder:

We stamped the larger detailed holly leaf using Evening Evergreen ink and added the solid leafy image overtop using Soft Succulent ink. The smaller holly leaf was stamped in the same way using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Smoky Slate ink.

The outline berries were stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink and the in-fill colour added using Polished Pink ink. We added the dotage image from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink. Finally, we stamped the trio of snowflakes, randomly in Orchid Oasis ink.

Using a Paper Trimmer, we then cut the A4 sheet into 4 equal pieces by cutting it at 5⅞” on the long side and 4⅛” on the short side.

The ladies then chose 4 card bases form the co-ordinating colours – Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Polished Pink, Sweet Sorbet & Orchid Oasis.

Once they had chosen the card bases, they wanted to use, the ladies decided which panels to use for a portrait card and which as a landscape card. They also decided whether to leave the panels whole and plain or to emboss them.

Some chose to cut them into strips 1¼” wide, or from corner to corner diagonally. I cut layers of a co-ordinating card to mount the strips onto.
