Framed Florets Thank You Card

The Framed Florets stamp set and co-ordinating Dies are out on my desk at the moment and I used them to make a pretty Framed Florets thank you card,

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the framed florets thank you card, you will need:

Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Balmy Blue card – 5½” by 3¾”
Fitting Florets dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3¼”
Basic White – ¼” strip
Scrap Basic White and Distressed Gold

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Fitting Florets dsp to the Balmy Blue panel. I used the same liquid glue to add the panel to the Evening Evergreen card base.

The sentiment from the Inspiring Thoughts stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen on the thin strip of Basic White. I had used a Post It Note to mask off the words I didn’t want to use. I trimmed the sentiment down and flagged the end and added it to the card front.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects using the masking technique. I have used the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the perfect pomegranate card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Merry Merlot card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

I stamped a pomegranate in Merry Merlot ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I stamped the same image onto a piece of Masking Paper and cut it out using sharp Scissors to create a mask. I placed the mask over the stamped image and stamped it again overlapping. The mask was then removed.

I inked up the flower stem with Garden Green ink and the flower with Petal Pink ink. Using a Dauber, I added Calypso Coral ink to the flower and stamped it down.

Pool Party ink was added to the background using a Blending Brush and I added some small dots to the background in the same Pool Party ink.

The stamped panel was glued to the Merry Merlot layer and then to the Petal Pink card front.

Painted Fox for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop blog hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a sketch. I have chosen to make a painted fox card using a stamp set available for free with a £45 order from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the painted fox card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Garden Green card – 5⅝” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Ringed With Love dsp – 3 ½” by 2”
Ringed With Love dsp – 3⅛” by 3⅛” x 2
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

I began by gluing the 3 panels of Ringed With Love designer series paper to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. This panel was then embossed using the Painted Textures Embossing Folder, doesn’t it look great?

The embossed panel was then glued to the Garden Green layer and then to the Starry Sky layer using the same liquid glue.

The stitched circle was lying on my desk, left over from another project and had been die cut, using the Stylish Shapes Dies and a 3¼” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card. I placed the circle into my Stampartus, placed the fox, from the Stylish Sketches stamp set onto the circle and picked it up with the door.

I inked the grass using a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker and the fox using a Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker. I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink and stamped down on the circle. I repeated the re-inking to get a darker image. I used a water Painter to blend out the ink n the fox and set it to dry.

Using Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink to the sky and Garden Green ink to the ground. The circle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
