The Autumn Leaves stamp set from Stampin' Up! used to make four cards from a one sheet wonder - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Autumn Leaves One Sheet Wonder – Stamping With Friends Blog hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing Fall/Autumn projects. I am sharing a one sheet wonder created with the Autumn Leaves stamp set.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Autumn leaves one sheet wonder cards, you will need:

1 A4 sheet of Basic Beige cardstock
4 card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – I used Basic Beige, Boho Blue, Wild Wheat and Blackberry Bliss
Matting layers – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – I chose 2 in Blackberry Bliss and 2 in Boho Blue
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

I began by stamping the large maple leaf in Wild Wheat ink, keeping the stamping roughly in the figure of a cross.

www.crafty-rootes.com – Four cards made using a One Sheet Wonder technique using the Autumn Leaves stamp set – Stamping With Friends Blog HopThe oak leaf was then stamped in Boho Blue ink and finally the pair of leaves using Blackberry Bliss ink.

The Sketched Butterflies stamp set from Stampin' Up! used with the painter's tape technique to make a pretty thank you card - Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Painter’s Tape Butterflies card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing the painter’s tape technique. This is an oldy but goodie technique and uses painter’s or masking tape, neither of which I had…….. however, washi tape works just as well so that is what I used.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the painter’s tape and butterflies’ card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black card

I placed strips of Washi Tape, about 5½” long, one at a time onto the open ink pads. I lightly ran my finger along the length to let the tape pickup ink before lifting the tape and placing it onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

I started with Petal Pink ink, moved onto Bubble Bath ink, then Pool Party ink, Basic Beige and finally Fresh Freesia. Each piece of tape was left in place for a minute or two to allow the ink to transfer before being carefully peeled off.

An Autumnal Flowers thank you card made for the Giving Thanks Blog Hop using the Inspirational Sketches stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Autumnal Flowers card – Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Giving Thanks Blog Hop. There are so many things I am thankful for: my lovely family, my friends, the friendly village I live in and lots more. I have made an Autumnal flowers card for one of my lovely friends using the Inspirational Sketches stamp set and some seasonal colours.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Autumnal flowers card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Mossy Meadow card

I stamped the cluster of flowers all over the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card in Early Espresso ink. I also stamped the same image in Soft Sea Foam ink onto the upper left and lower right corners of the Soft Sea Foam card front.

Using Blends Pens I coloured in the images. The large flower was coloured with light and dark Pumpkin Pie with a little dark Cajun Craze. The medium flower was coloured with light and dark Wild Wheat and the final flower with light and dark Cherry Cobbler. The centres were coloured with the darkest natural tones blends or pecan pie blends. The cherry cobbler flower centre was coloured with dark Soft Sea Foam.

The leaves were coloured in using light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends. Using all the light Soft Sea Foam I coloured in all the remaining white space, it looked too bright against the rich colours of the flowers.

Using one of the labels from the Changing Leaves Dies I die cut the sentiment. I ran it through twice as I wanted the label to be shorter. The sentiment was then added to the card front.

A pretty thank you card.made using the Grassy Grove stamp set from Stampin' Up! along with some ink blending

Pretty Deer card

Here is a pretty card made using the deer from the pretty Grassy Grove stamp set and some ink blending. This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest a long time ago.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the deer card, you will need:

Peach Pie card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Early Espresso card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

The trio of trees image was stamped in the upper left and lower right corner of the Peach Pie card base with Peach Pie ink.

Using strips of Masking Paper I masked off ¾” on the left side and the bottom of the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card.

A pretty thank you card.made using the Grassy Grove stamp set from Stampin' Up! along with some ink blending

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Grassy Grove stamp set used with some ink blending to make a pretty thank you card.

I used a Blending Brush to add Melon Mambo ink to the corner of the masked area. Next, I added Peach Pie ink letting it fade off. The masking paper was then removed.

The pair of trees were stamped in Early Espresso ink, overlapping the edge of the ink blended area. The deer was also stamped in Early Espresso ink.

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Grassy Grove stamp set used with some ink blending to make a pretty thank you card.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Early Espresso panel. At this point I decided to stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso directly onto the panel………. Big mistake as it wasn’t straight…… So I stamped it again onto scrap Basic White card and die cut it using one of the dies from the Greetings of the Season Dies. This cut down and glued over the original stamped sentiment.

I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the top of the panel and added some 2024 -2026 In Color Shimmer Gems.

Such a pretty card.

A pretty Autumnal Toadstools card made for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop using the Inspirational Sketches stamp set and the Nested Essentials Dies from Stampin' Up!

Autumnal Toadstools – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are being inspired to create using a Tic Tac Toe board. I have chosen to use the Fall, Fun-fold and Ribbon line and have used the Inspirational Sketches stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Autumnal toadstools card, you will need:

Early Espresso card base – 7⅛” by 4⅛” – scored at 5⅞”
Early Espresso card – 4⅛” by 1¼”
Basic Beige – 4” by 1⅛” x 2
Country Woods dsp – 3⅞” by 1” x 2
Poppy Parade card – 5¼” by 3¼” x 2
Basic Beige – 5” by 3“
Basic Beige – 5¾” by 4” – for the inside

The strips of Country Woods dsp were adhered to the strips of Basic Beige card. These were then glued to the top ¼” flap of the card front and to the strip Early Espresso card and set them aside.

The group of toadstools were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the piece of Basic Beige card measuring 5” by 3“. I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Pretty in Pink, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake. I also used a white gel pen from my stash to add the white dots to the toadstool caps.

The coloured image was then die cut using the Nested Essentials Dies. I also die cut two slightly larger labels from the panels of Poppy Parade card; one was adhered to the back of the coloured panel.

The 1¼” piece of Early Espresso card with the added Basic Beige and dsp panel was lined up with the bottom edge and sides of the card base, I held it in position with a little removable adhesive from my stash. Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive was applied to the back of the die cut and decorated label, on the top and bottom only and the label was added it to top and bottom strips of the card front.

The Basic Beige panel for the inside was glued in position and the sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink where it would be hidden behind the floating label. I also stamped the hashed image in Early Espresso ink.

To make the back of the card front look a little neater I glued the 2nd Poppy Parade label to the back. A length of Linen Thread was wrapped around the label and tied in a bow. A trio of Earth Tones Shimmer Gems finished the card.

Please hop on to share the Autumnal/Fall inspiration provided by my crafty friends. Next up is the lovely Diane Evans.
