The Earthen Textures stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty card picturing an ornamental pot full of grasses

Ornamental Pot full of Grasses

I have been playing with the new Earthen Textures stamp set today, this was at the top of my wish list when the new catalogue launched. I do love a plant pot and these are gorgeous.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the ornamental pot card, you will need:

Boho Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Wild Wheat card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I stamped the grasses, randomly all over the front of the Boho Blue card front in Boho Blue ink, love a bit of tone on tone!

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Here is a pretty ornamental pot full of grasses card made using the Earthen Textures stamp set

I stamped the spray of grasses onto the white label in Wild Wheat ink. The pot was stamped onto scrap Basic White card in Boho Blue ink and fussy cut using sharp Scissors – yes I know there are dies, and I do have them but I had the scissors out before I remembered! The pot was added over the grasses on Dimensionals.

The two labels were then glued together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and added to the card front using the same glue.

A pretty, watercoloured, sheep themed thank you card made using the On The Farm stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Sheep Themed Thank You Card

Today I have been using the sweet On the Farm stamp set to make a pretty water coloured thank you card.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the sheep thank you card, you will need:

Sahara Sand card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green card – 3¼” by 2⅝”
Fluid 100 card – 3⅛” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Strips of Basic White, Balmy Blue and Garden Green ⅜” wide

When I am stamping onto watercolor paper, I usually use my Stamparatus. Because the paper is textured the Stamparatus gives me the option of re-stamping if I miss spots or I want the image to be darker. So, I stamped the fields, trees and sheep in StaZon Jet Black ink.

Thanks a Bunch using Regal Colours

Here is a sweet thank you card, made using the pretty Thanks a Bunch stamp set which will be available until the 28th February.

The colours used in this card are:

To Recreate the thanks a bunch card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Cherry Cobbler card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Crumb Cake card – 5½” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Old Olive card – ⅜” wide strip

I stamped the row of heritage carrots onto the smaller panel of Basic White card in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Rich Razzleberry inks in either 1st or 2nd generation stamping.

The carrot tops were stamped on top in Old Olive ink. Using a Blending Brush I added Crumb Cake ink, lightly around the stamped panel.

I used the border die from the Seaside Bay set of Dies to cut the ‘ground’ from the strip of Crumb Cake card and adhered it along the bottom of the panel. The stamped piece was then added to the Cherry Cobbler panel and then to the Old Olive card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Old Olive card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.
