Loveliest Tree card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects using a bundle from the new annual catalogue. I have chosen the Loveliest Tree stamp set to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the loveliest tree card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow card – 4⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic Beige card – 4½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic Beige and Mossy Meadow

I used a stamp positioner to stamp the tree as this allowed me to stamp in multiple colours, multiple times.

Starting by colouring in the tree trunk and branches using a Pecan Pie Stamp ‘n Write Marker in the ink to stamp technique. I stamped down onto the 4½” by 3¾” piece of Basic Beige card.

Using Sponge Daubers I added, first Mossy Meadow ink to large areas of the tree canopy and stamped down. Next, I added Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped down, then Wild Wheat ink to the tree canopy. I repeated these colours a number of times to intensify the colour.

The grass at the base of the tree was then coloured, using a Sponge Dauber, with Granny Apple Green ink.

A length of the Centred Striped Pecan Pie Ribbon was wrapped around the Mossy Meadow panel, adhering it on the back with Sellotape. The stamped panel was then glued to the Mossy Meadow layer and the whole piece mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I inked the tree trunk slice, from the Textured Timber stamp set, with Basic Beige ink, stamped off and stamped the 2nd generation ink onto the Basic Beige card base and repeated it until the card front was covered.

The sentiment, from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set, was stamped on scrap Basic Beige card using Granny Apple Green ink. I trimmed it down with Scissors and added a slightly larger piece of Mossy Meadow card to the back. The sentiment was then tucked under the raised panel.

A ribbon bow and a trio of Iridescent Pearls, coloured using a Mossy Meadow Blends Pen completed the card.
