Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing ideas for Valentine’s Day cards. I have made my card using the Sweet Heart dies.
The colours used in this project are:
To recreate the sweet hearts card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Crumb Cake card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Pool Party, Real Red and Highland Heather
I began by embossing the Crumb Cake panel using Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Speciality Plate and the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. This panel was then mounted on the Crumb Cake card front on Dimensionals.
Using the Sweet Hearts Dies, I die cut the strips of hearts in Pool Party, Real Red, Highland Heather and Basic White.
The negative heart strips were glued to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I then stacked the small die cut hearts of the same colour, one on top of the other, three deep, adhering them together with liquid glue before adding them inside the negative strip. They rose a little above the negative strip giving some dimension.
The sentiment from the Sweet Conversations stamp set was stamped in Real Red ink onto a scrap of Basic White card and then trimmed down. It was added to the card front on Mini Glue Dots.
A trio of Red Rhinestones completed the card.
Please hop on to share the inspiration my demo friends are sharing today.
