A pretty floral card made for my August customer make & take using the Sale-a-Bration Summer Shadow dies

Summer Shadow Dies used for a customer Make & Take

Today I am sharing a pretty card designed using the Summer Shadow Dies as my customer Make & Take for August 2021. Anyone who orders from me during the month will get this kit through the mail with instructions on how to make the card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Summer Shadow card, you will need:

Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Evening Evergreen – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper left corner, one for the inside
Pansy Petals dsp – 5½” by 1”
Pansy Petals dsp – 4” by ½”
Scrap Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Succulent and Basic White

I began by gluing the 1” wide strip of striped dsp to one of the Basic White panels. Add the piece of gingham dsp on top towards the right-hand side. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.  My customers will have to chose a sentiment from their own stash.

The whole panel was added to the Evening Evergreen layer with the same glue and I used the same glue to adhere the panel to the Fresh Freesia card base.

I used liquid glue to adhere the die cut detailed flowers to the flower bases. I had to move them around until they lined up. The liquid glue was squeezed out onto my Silicon Craft Mat, picked up with a Sponge Dauber and dabbed on the back of the detailed flower.

Using my Bone Folder I curved the flowers to give them some shape. The darker flower was then glued to the card base with a spot of liquid glue in the centre.

The second, lighter coloured flower was added on a Dimensional and the leaf tucked behind and secured with a dab of liquid glue.

I added a 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewel to the centre of each flower and a third to the jewel to the background.
