Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we a sharing cards made for the men in our lives. I have gone a bit out of the box and made a striped romance card using the Ranunculus Romance stamp set……… not a set I would normally think of for a masculine style card.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the striped romance card, you will need:
Tahitian Tide card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Orchid Oasis card – 4⅝” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 2⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Starry Sky
The long intricate border image was inked up with Tahitian Tide ink and stamped diagonally onto the smaller layer of Basic White card.
I cleaned the stamp on my Simply Shammy and stamped the image again in Starry Sky ink and once more in Orchid Oasis ink.
I repeated the pattern until the whole panel was covered, cleaning the stamp between each change of colour. The stamped panel was then added to the Orchid Oasis layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The Tahitian Tide card base looked a little plain so I stamped the image again in Tahitian Tide ink in the upper left and lower right corners before adding the decorative piece on Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. I added a scrap piece of Starry night card behind the sentiment and timed it down to size before adding it to the card front.
A trio of 2022 – 2024 In Color Matte Dots completed the card.
I hope you like it
Please continue around the hop to see the other masculine themed projects shared by my stamping friends.
