Welcome to the November Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where this month we have a sketch challenge. I love a sketch challenge – it really pushes you out of your comfort zone. If you have hopped over from the lovely Jenn Charles or are starting the hop with me, welcome. I have used the Very versaillies stamp set for this challenge.
To recreate the Very Versailles card you will need:
Purple Posy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Pretty Peacock – 5⅝” by 3⅞ – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Pretty Peacock 2¾” by 2¾”
Purple Posy 2¾” by 2¾”
Purple Posy 4⅛” by 1”
I began by stamping the leaves twice in Pretty Peacock ink making sure that the place where the the leaves overlapped would be hidden by the circle.
I stamped the gorgeous script stamp in Purple Posy ink overtop of the stamped leaves. Those colours look so pretty together.
The medallion was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto the small panel of Purple Posy cardstock, I added the sentiment in the same ink. The medallion was then die cut using the Layering Circle dies. A slightly larger scalloped circle was die cut using the same dies and the Pretty Peacock square. The two circles were adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The Purple Posy strip was die cut using thedetailed scalloped edge from the Arts & Crafts dies. I only used the negative piece for this project keeping the detailed piece for another project. I adhered the die cut strip to a piece of the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon with the pretty peacock scallop at the top and adhered the strip to the stamped panel.
The whole panel was added to the Purple Posy card base and the stamped circle was adhered to the card front on Dimensionals. The card was completed with a trio of In Color Faceted Dots. The leaves were stamped on the inside panel and the envelope in the Pretty Peacock ink.
I absolutely love this card, I hope you like it. Please hop on to see what the talented Stacey Marsh has to share with us today
