Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is Spring/Autumn. I have chosen to make a cup of daffodils Spring themed card using the Daffodil Daydream Stamp set and the Cup of Tea stamp set.
To recreate the cup of daffodils card, you will need:
Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” Starry Sky card – 5⅓” by 3⅜” Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
I stamped the leafy image in the upper left and lower right corner of the Granny Apple Green card front in Granny Apple Green ink and set it aside.

The striped cut from the Cup of Tea stamp set was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I stamped the image again onto masking paper, trimmed it out and used it to cover the stamped cup. The daffodils were then stamped onto the panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The mask was then removed.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Pens to colour in the image – So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green. A Smoky Slate Blends Alcohol Pens was used to ground the cup.

The sentiment from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, was stamped in Granny Apple Green onto the decorated panel. Using a Blending Brush I added Starry Sky ink around the edges of the panel before gluing it to the Starry Sky layer.

I have been playing with the Daffodil Daydream stamp set today and have made an Easter daffodil card for one of my aunts and I am sharing it with the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Easter/Spring’.
To recreate the Easter daffodil card, you will need:
Flirty Flamingo card Base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner Pattern Party dsp – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner Flirty Flamingo card – 4⅛” by 3” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 4” by 2⅞” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside Scrap Basic White
I glued the Pattern Party dsp to the larger Basic White panel then added the panel to the Flirty Flamingo card front.

The single daffodil was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto the smallest panel of Basic White card and coloured in using Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends Markers. I added ‘ground’ using Crumb Cake Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink and it was crooked!!! Don’t you hate that…..so I stamped it again on scrap Basic White and die cut it out using a Tasteful Label Die which I trimmed down before adding it to the card.

The stamped layer was added to the Flirty Flamingo panel and added to the card base on Dimensionals.

Today I am sharing a card made using the Sheltering Tree stamp set for the Global Design Project #183 challenge, this week’s theme is ‘A Day in the Park’
Making the card
You will need; Balmy Blue card base Granny Apple Green 5” by 3⅝” Early Espresso 4⅝” by 3¼” Whisper White 4⅜” by 3” Whisper White 4⅛” by 3” Whisper White 4⅛” by ½” Whisper White scrap for the sentiment
I began by taking acrylic block H which is long and thin and inking it by pressing the bottom ⅓ onto a Pear Pizzazz ink pad and the upper ⅔’s onto a Balmy Blue ink pad. Once inked I used a Spritzer filled with water and sprayed the inked block with water until it was wet but not running. The block was then placed on a panel of Whisper White, face down and left for a couple of minutes to let the watery ink soak into the cardstock.

Once dry I placed the panel onto the platform of the Stamparatus and positioned the tree image from the Sheltering Tree stamp set, half on and half off the inked panel, I stamped the tree in Early Espresso and used the Stamparatus as it allowed me to stamp the image multiple times to achieve a really dark impression.

I used a Post It note to mask off the left side of the panel along the edge of the inked block impression. I then inked up the tree canopy with Pear Pizzazz and stamped it using the Stamparatus. The Post It note ensured that ‘leaves’ were only stamped on the right side of the tree. I wanted to show the tree changing from Winter to Spring. I repeated the stamping with Granny Apple Green ink to give a two-tone effect to the leaves.

I stamped the ‘ground’ image in Pear Pizzazz ink and added ‘grass’ on the right side of the panel. A couple of falling leaves were added to cover a smudge!

I rounded the upper right corner with the Detailed Trio Punch and added the stamped layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to a panel of Early Espresso with a rounded upper right corner. This was then glued with the same glue to a panel of Granny Apple Green cardstock, with a rounded corner.
I adhered a strip of Whisper White cardstock to the front of a Balmy Blue card base using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and added the stamped panel to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Fable Friends stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched out with a 1¼” Circle Punch. It was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I stamped the tree and canopy onto the layer of Whisper White for the inside of the card and the envelope.
An interesting technique. I hope you like the card.

Some of my lovely ladies and I spent yesterday crafting away at my Spring Stamp-a-Stack event whilst the sun beat down outside. This time their pack included the fabulous Tutti-Fruitti 6”x6” dsp stack and a pack of Glitter Enamel Dots. This dsp pack is so bright and cheerful……..perfect for those Spring/Summer days. I paired the paper up with some fun and playful stamp sets.
