Tiled Sea Creatures’ for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have been given a sketch of a slimline card as our inspiration. I have teamed the Whale Done stamp set with the sketch to make a pretty tiled sea creatures’ card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the tiled sea creatures’ card, you will need:

Coastal Cabana card base – 8” by 8” – scored at 4”
Bermuda Bay – 4” by 1¾”
Night of Navy – 4” by 1½”
Basic White – 1¼” by 1¼” x 3
Basic White – 7¾” by 3¾”

I stamped the small sea creatures, seaweed and coral onto the 3 panels of Basic White card using Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade ink.

These tiles were added to the Night of Navy strip using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was then glued to the Bermuda Bay panel and mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

A water coloured seahorse themed card made using the Seaside Notions stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Seaside Notions for the Joy of Sets Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Joy of Sets Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Splish Splash’. This is an ideal theme for a sweet seahorse themed card made using the Seaside Notions stamp set and a bit of water colouring. You may have hopped over from the lovely Fiona Whitehead and you are currently visiting Mo Rootes.

To recreate the Seaside Notions card you will need:

Terracotta Tile card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pacific Point – 4 ¼” by 2 ⅞”
Shimmery White card – 4” by 2⅝”
Whisper White – 5⅜ by 3⅝”
Scrap Shimmery White card stock

The gorgeous seahorse image from the Seaside Notions stamp set was stamped in Terracotta Tile ink onto scrap Shimmery White card and fussy cut using my sharp scissors.

When the water coloured panel was dry I stamped the coral image in Pacific point ink and added some speckles using the same ink. The seahorse was mounted onto the panel with Dimensionals. The whole panel was glued to the Pacific Point layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
