Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are making a card using a card sketch. I love a sketch; it is a really good way of making me think outside my comfort zone to produce something a little different. My marbleous whale card is made using the Whale Done stamp set and Simply Marbleous dsp.
Thick Basic White card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” Balmy Blue card – 5 ½” by 4” Simply Marbleous dsp – 5 ¼” by 3⅞” – cut a 1½” strip from each end on the long side Scrap Basic White
Laying the 3 panels of the lovely Simply Marbleous dsp together, I stamped the seaweed in Garden Green ink. The coral was added in Calypso Coral ink at the bottom of the panels.

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing our favourite Stampin’ Up! Products. So much to choose from – eventually I settled on our fabulous Stamparatus and decided to showcase the mirror technique and make a sweet mirrored campervan card for a friend’s anniversary.
To recreate the mirrored campervan card, you will need:
Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Balmy Blue card – 5 ½” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside Scrap Basic White
I mounted the campervan image on the Stamparatus plate and stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the smaller panel of Basic White card. I moved the plate along 2 hinge steps, placed the Silicon Mat on top of the stamped image, inked up and stamped onto the Silicon Mat. I repeated this step to get a darker image.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Driving By Sale-a-Bration stamp set used with the mirror stamping technique and the Stamparatus to make a congratulations card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
The Silicon Mat was turned over, lined up next to the original stamped image inked side down. I then stamped the image down on the back of the Silicon Mat to provide the pressure to imprint the image. Lifted the Silicon Mat and voila we had a mirror image!
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Driving By Sale-a-Bration stamp set used with the mirror stamping technique and the Stamparatus to make a congratulations card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
The heart from the Sweet Conversations stamp set was stamped, between the 2 campervans, in Real Red ink. Using the following Blends, I coloured the images in – Polished Pink, Balmy Blue, So Saffron, Petal Pink, Smoky Slate, Basic Black & the Color Lifter.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Driving By Sale-a-Bration stamp set used with the mirror stamping technique and the Stamparatus to make a congratulations card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop
Using the Light Smoky Slate Blends pen, I coloured a length of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and wrapped it around the stamped panel. The panel was then adhered to the Balmy Blue layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then added to the Polished Pink card base on Dimensionals.

Today I am sharing a pretty card designed using the Summer Shadow Dies as my customer Make & Take for August 2021. Anyone who orders from me during the month will get this kit through the mail with instructions on how to make the card.
To recreate the Summer Shadow card, you will need:
Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Evening Evergreen – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper left corner, one for the inside Pansy Petals dsp – 5½” by 1” Pansy Petals dsp – 4” by ½” Scrap Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Succulent and Basic White
I began by gluing the 1” wide strip of striped dsp to one of the Basic White panels. Add the piece of gingham dsp on top towards the right-hand side. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
The sentiment, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink. My customers will have to chose a sentiment from their own stash.
The whole panel was added to the Evening Evergreen layer with the same glue and I used the same glue to adhere the panel to the Fresh Freesia card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
I used liquid glue to adhere the die cut detailed flowers to the flower bases. I had to move them around until they lined up. The liquid glue was squeezed out onto my Silicon Craft Mat, picked up with a Sponge Dauber and dabbed on the back of the detailed flower.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
Using my Bone Folder I curved the flowers to give them some shape. The darker flower was then glued to the card base with a spot of liquid glue in the centre.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Summer Shadow Dies used to make a pretty floral card for my August customer make & take.
The second, lighter coloured flower was added on a Dimensional and the leaf tucked behind and secured with a dab of liquid glue.
I added a 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewel to the centre of each flower and a third to the jewel to the background.

Using a scalloped circle from the layering Circle Dies and my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut a scalloped circle from the middle of the Basic Black layer. I love doing this, it makes the most of my card stock and no-one (but you) will ever know!
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Peaceful Deer stamp set, Deer builder Punch and Peaceful Prints dsp used to make a pretty Christmas card
The second panel of dsp was added, using the same liquid glue to the Basic Black layer (with the whole in the middle) and was added to the card front with the same glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Peaceful Deer stamp set, Deer builder Punch and Peaceful Prints dsp used to make a pretty Christmas card
I die cut a slightly smaller circle from the square of Basic White card using the same set of dies and ran it through the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Wintry 3D Duo Embossing Folder. Gives a subtle level of texture to the piece. The embossed circle was added to the scalloped Basic Black circle and then placed on the card front on Dimensionals.
