I have made 5 Christmas cards today for the Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ‘trees or tree shapes’. I have made my cards using the Thanks a Bunch stamp set.
Colours used in this project are;
To recreate the cypress Christmas cards, you will need:
Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Evening Evergreen card – 4⅝ by 3⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 3” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner – For the inside
Evening Evergreen or Garden Green card – 2¼” by ⅜” – Rounded upper left corner
Using the ‘ground image’ from the Oceanfront stamp set, I stamped randomly in Balmy Blue ink to add texture to the Balmy Blue card front.
The large ‘carrot shaped image was stamped in Garden Green ink, 1st and 2nd generation to give cluster of tall trees. The detailed image was then stamped over top, in Evening Evergreen ink.
The smaller trees were stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Evening Evergreen ink.
I used the same ‘ground image to add the ground in Balmy Blue ink, 1st and 2nd generation under the trees.
A Blending Brush was used to add Balmy Blue ink to the sky – I used a small die cut circle to mask off the moon. The inked panel was then glued, with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, to the Evening Evergreen panel and then to the Balmy Blue card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment was then stamped onto the small piece of either Evening Evergreen or Garden Green card in Versamark ink. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. The sentiment was then trimmed down and added to the card front.
A trio od 2021 – 2023 In Color Opal Rounds completed the card. I made 5 of these cards in total to start off my Christmas prep. I hope you like the card.
