Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where we are sharing projects for the men in our lives. I have chosen to use the Let’s set Sail stamp set and Sailboat Punch to make my card.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the sailboat card, you will need:
Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Highland Heather card – 5⅞” by ⅜” x 2
Basic White card – 5⅞” by ⅜” x 2
Sun Prints dsp – 5⅞” by 3”
Highland Heather card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Basic White – 4⅓” by ½”
Basic White strip ⅜”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the strip of Highland Heather card and the longer strip of Basic White card to each side of the Sun Prints dsp. The piece was then added to the Night of Navy card base.
I flagged the ends of the 4⅓” by ½” piece of Basic White card and added the strip to the card front.
Using the Layering Circle Dies, I die cut a circle from the square of Basic White card and a slightly larger scalloped circle from the square of Highland Heather card.
I stamped the ‘sea’ in 3rd generation Night of Navy ink and used a Blending Brush to swirl on Pool Party ink.
The boat was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card and the sails were stamped on the same scrap card in Highland Heather and Poppy Parade ink. All the pieces were punched out using the Sailboat Punch. I glued these to the stamped circle. The tiny birds were stamped in Night of Navy ink. The circles were then glued together and added to the card front on Dimensionals.
A trio of Pastel Pearls completed the card. I hope you like it.
Please continue around the hop to share the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.
