Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using some on the gorgeous stand-alone dies. I have chosen to use the pretty Dots & Spots Die in an unusual way.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the dots & spots card, you will need:
Parakeet Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Highland Heather card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Highland Heather strip of card – ⅜”
Scrap Vellum
I ran one of the panels of Basic White card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Dots & Spots Die.
Using the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, I ran the die cut panel back through the embossing machine to add texture. This panel was then added to the Highland Heather layer on Mini Dimensionals.
Using StaZon Black ink I stamped 2 large dragonflies from scrap Vellum and punched them out using the Dragonfly Punch. I added colour to the back of each dragonfly with Highland Heather and Parakeet Party Blends Pens.
I used the same alcohol markers to colour in some scraps of Vellum and punched out a trio of small dragonflies. These were all added to the card front with a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The sentiment comes from the Sit. Stay. Relax. Stamp set. I masked off the words I didn’t want and inked up the remainder with Gorgeous Grape ink, removed the mask and stamped it onto the strip of Highland Heather. I flagged the end and added it to the card front.
A scattering of 2022 – 2024 In Color Matte Dots completed the card.
Please hop along to see what stand-alone dies my friends have chosen to use today.
