Today I am sharing a card made for a friends 60th birthday using the Pocketful of Happiness and Family Party stamp sets.
To recreate the Pocketful of Happiness card you will need:
Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” and 2 1/16”
Mint Macaron – 5⅝” by 3⅞” x 2 – Rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 3½” by 3½”
Whisper White – 3½” by 2”
I folded the Flirty Flamingo card base in half then folded the second score line in the opposite direction and burnished using a bone folder. I rounded the upper right corner of the back panel, the lower left corner of the smaller panel and the lower left corner on the central fold.
I stamped the largest image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the 3 ½” by 3 ½” panel of Whisper White and cut it out using the Pocket framelits.
I coloured in the image using the following Blends Markers – Flirty Flamingo combo, Mint Macaron combo, So Saffron combo, Crumb Cake combo and Purple Posy dark.
I stamped the flower spray in the upper left and lower right corners of one of the large Whisper White panels in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in with the same Blends Markers.
I glued the Whisper White panel to one of the Mint Macaron panels with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the pocket to the panel using Tear and Tape.
Using the Delightful Tag Punch I punched the top of the 2” strip of Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment from the Family Party stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink, added the end of the leaf sray ro the top and coloured it in with the Blends Markers. I added a bow made from the Mint Macaron Shimmer Ribbon to the top of the tag with a Mini Glue Dot.
I added a couple of Dimensionals to the back of the tag but did not remove the backing. I wanted the height with the ability for the tag to slide in and out.
I stamped the flower and leaf on the remaining panel of Whisper White cardstock, coloured it in and glued it to the remaining Mint Macaron layer and added it to the inside of the card using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I added the same ink to the left hand side of the decorated Whisper White panel and added it to the card front.
To complete the card I coloured in some Basic Pearls with the dark So Saffron and dark Mint Macaron Blends Markers. I stamped the flower and leaf image on the envelope and coloured it using the same marker pens.
Such a pretty, fresh card. I know my friend will like it.
