Pansy Petals designer series paper combined with the In Bloom dies to make a pretty flowers in bloom card

Flowers In Bloom card

Today I ‘ve been playing with the Pierced Bloom dies, haven’t had these out for a while and I had forgotten how pretty these flowers are. I have made a pretty, flowers in bloom card.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the flowers in bloom card, you will need:

Thick Basic White – 5⅞” by 5⅜” – scored at 4⅓” on the 5⅜” side
Pansy Petals dsp – 5⅞” by 4⅓”
Pansy Petals dsp – 5⅞” by 1¼”
Scrap Basic White, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade & Evening Evergreen

Using the Basic Borders dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the edge from the larger piece of Pansy Petals designer Series Paper (dsp). This makes such a cool card front.

I wrapped a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape before adding the piece to the 1 ¼” card front flap with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added the strip of the same Pansy Petals dsp to the inside of the card front. Love the dark green stripes against the Pale Papaya gingham.

Using the Pierced Bloom dies I cut a selection of flowers, flower centres and leaves from scrap card stock and spent a happy 15 mins putting together various combos before deciding on the look I wanted. I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the flowers together and to attach then to the card front.

The sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink onto scrap Basic White card and cut it out using one of the Tasteful Labels dies and tucked it in under the flowers.

I completed the card by adding a trio of 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels and a bow using the same ribbon.

I hope you like it.

Stripy Floral cards

Here are 2 stripy floral cards made using a technique with Blends Alcohol Marker and a strip of card stock. I used both the positive and negative parts of the strip to make the cards.

Colours used in these projects are:

To recreate the Flowers on Stripy panel card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Smoky Slate – 5⅞” by 2¼”
Basic White – 5⅞” by 2”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾”

I used the light Mint Macaron, light Purple Posy, light Flirty Flamingo and light So Saffron Blends to draw lines from side to side all the way up the 2” strip of Basic White card. I choose to leave a thin white line between each colour to give some definition to each colour.

I used the same set of dies to cut some of the flower centres from scrap Basic White and added these to the centre of the flowers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was added to the Flirty Flamingo card base with the same liquid glue.

A pretty thank you card made using the gorgeous Paper Blooms dsp from Stampin' Up!

Paper Blooms

I am loving the designer series papers in the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure, there are 3 different papers packs to choose from and they are all gorgeous. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Paper Blooms dsp for this card as I love the colour palette of this paper stack, so pretty.

To recreate the paper blooms card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Rococo Rose card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 3” by 2”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I stuck the panel of pretty Paper Blooms dsp to the Rococo Rose layer. Using the same liquid glue.
