We had great fun this week creating cards using the Share a Milkshake stamp set and the co-ordinating Dies. Ironically it was snowing when I held the first few classes and ice-creams were not high on our list of treats.
Colours used in these projects are:
Corner Tuck card
Fresh Freesia card base 6¼” by 5⅞”– scored at 4¼”
Dandy Designs dsp – 5¾” by 4⅛
Dandy Designs dsp – 5¾” by 2”
Calypso Coral – 3⅞” by 2½”
Petal Pink – 3¾” by 2⅜
Basic White – 4” by 2¾” – to die cut a deckled rectangle
Basic White – 3⅝”by 2⅜ – for the inside
Basic White strip – ½” wide
Dandy Designs dsp 2” by 2” cut in half on the diagonal
Scrap Basic White
Glue the 2 panels of dsp to the Fresh Freesia card base and add the triangle of dsp to the upper right corner.
Stamp the solid glass onto deckled rectangle in 2nd generation Fresh Freesia ink. The detailed image was added over top in full strength Fresh Freesia ink. The ice-cream scoop was stamped in Petal Pink ink onto scrap Basic White card and the straw in Sweet Sorbet ink, they were then die cut out and added at the top of the glass with Dimensionals.
The stamped panel was glued to the Petal Pink panel and then to the layer of Calypso Coral card and added with liquid glue to the smaller front panel of the card base.
The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto scrap card, trimmed down and added to the card front. We then added an extra white panel to the back piece where it would be hidden, this is where a message can be written.
Ice-cream Cone card
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Dany Designs dsp – 5⅞” by 1⅜”
Calypso Coral – 5⅞” by ½”
Crumb Cake – 4” by 3” – use to die cut the waffle cone.
Scrap Basic White, Fresh Freesia & Silver Foil
Glue the Calypso Coral strip to the right-hand side of the dsp panel and then glue to the Thick Basic White card base. Use a Blending Brush to add some Peta Pink ink to the right-hand side of the card front.
Fold up the waffle cone and tuck a piece of scrap Basic White card inside. Place the Fresh Freesia die cut ‘net’ to the back of the cone and add to the card front on Dimensionals.
The ice-cream scoops were stamped in Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Fresh Freesia inks onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Share a Milkshake Dies. They were added above the cone on Dimensionals.
A die cut silver spoon was added to the ice-cream and a trio of hearts stamped in Calypso Coral ink. The sentiment was stamped in the same ink onto the card front.
Ice-cream Sundae card
Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2
Dandy Designs dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Fresh Freesia card – 3½” by ½”
Basic White – 3¾” by 1½”
Scrap Basic White, Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink & Silver Foil
The panel of dsp was glued to one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White. The piece was then glued to the Petal Pink card base,
A scalloped border was die cut from the Fresh Freesia card using the Penned Flowers Dies. It was added to the bottom of the 3¾” by 1½” piece of Basic White. This was then glued to the card front.
Die-cut the sundae glasses and ice-cream scoops from Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink card and add to the Basic White strip. The cherry was inked up in Sweet Sorbet ink and the stem coloured in using an Early Espresso Marker, it was then stamped onto white card and die-cut bore being added to the card front.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the scrap Basic White, trimmed out with scissors and added to the card front.
I hope you like the cards. We also used the Dandy Designs dsp in this class.
