Marbleous Waves card for the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using gorgeous this early release bundle. I have come up with a marbleous waves birthday card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the marbleous waves card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Simply Marbleous dsp – 5½” by 3”
Silver Foil – 5½” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 2⅛” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I punched a 1” Circle from a Post It Note and placed it onto the panel of Basic White card. Using Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink to the panel, leaving it lighter in the centre. I added Night of Navy ink to add depth to the top of the panel.

The Post It mask was removed and Daffodil Delight ink added using a Sponge Dauber. The panel was glued to the Night of Navy panel using the same liquid glue. The birds were stamped in Night of Navy ink.

Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the wave image in Night of Navy ink onto the piece of Simply Marbleous dsp and fussy cut it out using my sharp Paper Scissors.

I used the co-ordinating Wave Dies; I die cut one of the detailed waves from the piece of Silver Foil. It was added over the fussy cut wave image using liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the blended panel on Dimensionals. The whole panel was mounted onto the Thick Basic White card base with Liquid Glue.

The pelican on the post was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the scrap Basic White card. It was die cut using the Wave Dies. I then trimmed around the posts as I didn’t want the thin white edge. I coloured in the image using the following Blends – Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink. It was added to the edge of the card using Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. It was added to the card front with liquid glue.

A trio of Iridescent Rhine stones were added to complete the card.

Please hop on to see what my fellow demos have to share with us today.

Waves of Inspiration fun fold card for the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. I have chosen to share the Waves of Inspiration corner latch card made for my son’s upcoming birthday.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the waves of inspiration corner latch card, you will need:

Coastal Cabana card base – 9⅛” by 4⅛” scored at 5⅞”
Bermuda Bay card – 5¾”by 4”
Bermuda Bay card – 4” by 3⅛” x 2
Bermuda Bay 4” by ⅛”
Simply Marbleous dsp – 3⅞” by 3” x 2
Simply Marbleous dsp – 3⅞” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2⅝”
Misty Moonlight card – 4⅞” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3 ¼”
Misty Moonlight card – 2” by 2” cut across the diagonal into a triangle
Scrap Basic White card

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I adhered the two identical panels of Simply Marbleous dsp to the two identical Bermuda Bay panels. One was then glued to the card front and the other to the back of the card front.

The small panel of Basic White was glued to the left-hand side of the larger Bermuda Bay layer. The remaining piece of Simply Marbleous dsp was added next to it. To cover the join, I added the 1/8” strip of Bermuda Bay card.

Using Tear ‘n Tape around the top and side, I added the triangle of Misty Moonlight ink to the upper right corner of the card base to provide the latch.

I inked up the large wave image using Bermuda Bay ink and added patches of Pacific Point and Misty Moonlight using Sponge Daubers and stamped it onto the larger Basic White panel. This was then mounted on the Misty Moonlight panel using the liquid glue.

The pelican on the posts was stamped in Soft Suede ink and coloured using Crumb Cake and So Saffron Blends Markers. I die cut it out using the co-ordinating Wave Dies and added it, on Dimensionals to the stamped panel. The whole piece was then added to the card front, taking care to add ink only to the left-hand side. The top of the stamped panel then tucked under the latch.

I stamped the poles with and without birds three more times on scrap Basic White and cut them out to add inside the card.

The sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set was stamped inside the card in Misty Moonlight ink.

My son loves the sea and I am sure he will enjoy this card.

Please hop on to enjoy the projects made by my fellow demos.
