A Tuscan Cypress Tree themed thank you card made for the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop using the Thanks A Bunch stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Tuscan Cypress Trees for the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are expressing our gratitude with thank you cards. Mine is inspired by a card made by my upline, the lovely Mikaela Titheridge using the Thanks A Bunch stamp set.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Tuscan Cypress card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Balmy Blue card – 5¾” by 4” – rounded upper left corner
Shaded Spruce card – 4⅞” by 2½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4 ¾” by 2⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White strip – ⅜” wide
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner

I stamped the large solid carrot, upside down, in Shaded Spruce ink onto the small panel of Basic White and added the shadow image using Evening Evergreen ink. These ‘trees’ remind me so much of the Cypress Trees common in Tuscany. The smaller trees were stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Old Olive ink.

The short grass was added with 1st and 2nd generation Old Olive ink using the shadow from the large carrot stamped from side to side. I added the larger tufts of grass from the Oceanfront stamp set in the same Old Olive ink.

Using a Blending Brush I added Balmy Blue ink to the sky have masked off a small circle for the sun/moon. The decorated panel was then adhered to the layer of Shaded Spruce.

I stamped some dotage in the upper left and lower right of the Balmy Blue panel but didn’t really like it. I then ran the panel through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. I liked this better. I wrapped a piece of Variegated Ribbon around the panel before gluing it to the Balmy Blue card front and adding the stamped panel over top on Dimensionals.

A trio of For Everything Fancy Sequins completed the card.

I love it and I hope you do too.

Please continue around the hop to see what inspiration my stamping friends have come up with today.

Rural Scene for the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop

I am so loving the Oceanfront and On The Horizon stamp sets and they work so well together which is an added bonus and I have used them to make this pretty rural scene for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the rural scene card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pear Pizzazz card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap Crumb Cake & Basic White card

I masked off the ‘sun’ using a 3/4” circle punched from a Post It Note then stamped the ‘sky’ in Balmy Blue, the ‘field’ in Pear Pizzazz and the ‘ground’ in Crumb Cake. The mask was then removed.
