Here is a sweet positive thoughts card made for the Colour Combo Blog Hop where our colours are:
To recreate the positive thoughts card, you will need:
Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Blackberry Bliss card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3¼”
Basic White card – ¼” strip
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White
The pretty flower from the Positive Thoughts stamp set was stamped down the right-hand edge of the Blushing Bride card front. I used Blushing Bride ink but stamped it off once for a subtler effect. It just takes the plainness away,
I stamped the fern image in So Saffron ink, 1st and 2nd generation onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I then used the Nature’s Thoughts dies to cut out the decorative rectangle. This is such a pretty die cut.
The die cut piece was then added to the Blackberry Bliss layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
The flower was stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Blackberry Bliss ink onto the scrap Basic White card and die cut. The paler flower was added to the card front with liquid glue and the darker flower added on a Dimensional.
The butterfly was stamped in Blushing Bride ink, die cut out and added to the card front on Mini Glue Dots.
The sentiment from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the strip of Basic White and trimmed out with Scissors. It was added to the card front with a dab of glue.
I added a double bow made using the White Baker’s Twine and a Mini Glue Dot and added a trio of Wonderful Gems to finish the card.
Such a pretty card, I hope you like it.
