Today, I am sharing the card made for my mother for Mother’s Day. I used the lovely Easter Lilies stamp set to make my card.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the lilies for Mother’s Day card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Lighter Than Air dsp – 5¼” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White card
The panel of Lighter Than Air dsp was glued to the Basic Black panel and the whole piece was glued to the Thick Basic White card front.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the large flower, the opening flower, the flower buds and both of leaves onto scrap Basic White card. I die cut them using the co-ordinating Easter Lilies Dies.
I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the flowers, buds and leaves – Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.
A stitched circle was die cut from the square of Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment, from the retired Tea Together stamp set, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the die cut circle.
The flowers and leaves were then adhered to the die cut circle with the largest flower up on Dimensionals. The whole piece was then added to the card base using more Dimensionals.
A scattering of Solid Faceted Gems completed the card.
Sadly, Mum is living with dementia and no longer knows us but I hope she will like here bright and cheerful card.
