Corrugated cardboard used with the Merriest Trees stamp set by Stampin' Up! to make a unique textured trees Christmas card

Textured Merriest Trees card

Back in October I was preparing for my Walk in the Forest Stamp-a-Stack by stamping the largest tree from the Merriest Trees stamp set onto 12” by 12” pizza boxes made from corrugated cardboard. Why? I hear you say………. to hold all the goodies my customers would need to create the 20 cards. As I stamped the tree, I found I was creating a really cool effect and I am recreating the effect for you today.

A Forest of the Merriest Trees for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have just started playing with the goodies from my September – December 2023 Catalogue pre-order. This is the first card I made using the Merriest Trees bundle.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the merriest trees card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Real Red card – 5⅛” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 2½” by ½”
Real Red card – 2½” by ¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Distressed Gold

The large solid tree was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

Without re-inking I stamped again a further 3 times with the ink getting lighter and lighter each time and taking care to make each tree smaller than the one before.

Using Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the stars. The stamped panel was then glued to the Real Red panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Shaded Spruce card base on Dimensionals.
