Vintage Map for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects with a vintage theme. I have made a card for a friend who is off travelling soon using the Watercolor World stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the vintage map card, you will need:

Pecan Pie card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Very Vanilla card – 5¾” by 4”
Pebbled Path card – 2½” by ½”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾”

I mounted the large Watercolor World stamp onto the large plate of the Stamparatus and inked it up with Pecan Pie ink. I stamped it onto the larger panel of Very Vanilla card. I inked the image up again with Pebbled Path ink very lightly and not all over and stamped again.

Using a Sponge Dauber, I aged a little Crumb Cake ink in places and stamped again.

I then ripped the stamped panel on all 4 sides and used a Bone Folder to break down the fibres and soften the panel.

The panel was then screwed up to make it look aged. Using a Blending Brush I added Crumb Cake ink all over the map following up with Pebbled Path around the edges.

I added Pebbled Path ink around the Pecan Pie card base and added the map using Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the On The Ocean stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Pebbled Path card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it with a Heat Tool. This was added to the card front.
