A lovely Christmas made using the Magnolia Lane dsp from Stampin' Up!

Magnolia Lane Christmas Card

Today I am sharing a Christmas card made using the gorgeous Magnolia Lane designer series paper and the Poppy Parade Blends combo.

To recreate this Christmas card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic Black 5½” by 3¾ “– rounded upper right corner
Magnolia Lane dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Whisper White

This is the simplest card to make. Start by cutting the Designer Series Paper (dsp). Take your Poppy Parade Blends pens and colour in the flowers. It really is that simple….

The coloured dsp was glued to the Basic Black layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped the ½” Textured Poppy Parade ribbon around the layer adhering it on the back using Sellotape. The whole piece was then glued to the Thick Whisper White card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set onto scrap Whisper White and die cut it using the Stitched Shapes dies. I inked the top of the sentiment using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the word ‘bright’ using the Poppy Parade ink.

The sentiment was then glued to the card front and a ribbon bow added to one side using Mini Glue dots. I added a trio of Red Rhinestones to complete the card.

Bouquet of Christmas Lights

Today I am sharing a really sweet card made using a combination of the Making Christmas Bright and County Lane stamp sets to create a bouquet of lights,

Making the card

I started by stamping the sweet jug from the Country Home stamp set in Basic Gray ink onto a scrap of Smoky Slate  cardstock and cut out the body of the jug using my super sharp Paper Snips. I stamped the jug again in Basic Gray onto a panel of Whisper White measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and added a little ‘ground’ using a Blender Pen and some Smoky Slate ink.

I inked up the bunch of balloon strings from the Balloon Celebration stamp set using the basic Gray ink and stamped it inside the jug on the Whisper White layer then added the Smoky Slate stamped jug, with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive over the top to hide the ends.

Taking the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch I punched out some bulbs from scraps of Real Red, Lemon Lime Twist, Blueberry Bushel and Coastal Cabana cardstock. I then punched out the bulb fittings from scrap Basic Gray cardstock and adhered the parts together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Finally I coated the bulbs with Clear Wink of Stella……..gorgeous.

The bulbs were adhered over the strings with either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow with a Mini Glue Dot, to hold the ‘strings’ together.

Such a pretty card. I hope you like it
