Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop where we have a sketch challenge to work with. I have made a card featuring a lighthouse for this challenge using the Sailing Home stamp set.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the lighthouse card, you will need:
Cinnamon Cider card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛”
Pacific Point card – 4⅝” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 4 ½” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by ⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Basic Gray
Using the Oceanfront stamp set I stamped the ‘sky’ in Balmy Blue ink. The sky was added in Pacific Point ink and the ground in Sahara Sand ink. The seagulls were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I added grasses using Mossy Meadow ink and glued the stamped panel to the Pacific Point layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The lighthouse from the Sailing Home stamp set was stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut out using the Smooth Sailing Dies and the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I coloured the image with Cinnamon Cider and Balmy Blue Blends Markers and mounted it onto the stamped panel with Dimenionals. I added a couple of boulders stamped in Sahara Sand ink and fussy cut them out, they were added to the base of the lighthouse on Mini Dimensionals.
The Basic White strip was glued to the Cinnamon Cider card base and the decorated panel added over top.
The sentiment from the On the Horizon stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I trimmed it out using sharp Scissors and added it to the card front. The anchor was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic Gray ink and die cut it using the Smooth Sailing Dies. The anchor was added using Mini Dimensionals.
I added a trio of Peebles to complete the card.
Please continue to hop on to see what my fellow demos have to share with us today.
