Patterned Leaves Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing Autumn/Fall themed cards. I have made a pretty, Changing Leaves anniversary card for friends.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the changing leaves anniversary card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Cherry Cobbler Glimmer card – 5⅞” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2¼”
Scrap Basic White

 

The maple leaf image was randomly stamped onto the 5⅞” by 2¼” panel of Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Using the following Blends Pens, I coloured in the leaves – Wild Wheat, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow. The stamped panel was glued to the Cherry Cobbler Glimmer layer and then added to the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals.

The outline image from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto scrap Basic White card. I punched it out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

Delicate Forest Retiform card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring either the retiform or collage techniques. I have used the pretty Delicate Forest stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the delicate forest retiform card, you will need:

Coastal Cabana card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black card

 

Using Masking Paper, I masked off the upper left corner of the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card.

I used Blending Brushes to add Boho Blue, Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather ink to the exposed area. With the masking paper still in place I stamped the image from the Delicate Details stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The masking paper was then removed.

The pieces of masking paper were moved around the panel of Basic White card and the exposed areas were inked using the same three colours. The same image was stamped in each space.

The stamped panel was glued to the Basic White layer and then to the Basic Black panel. A length of checked ribbon was wrapped around the whole piece and secured it in place with Sellotape on the back.

The sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. It was punched out using the Hexagon Punch. I punched another label from scrap Basic Black card. I cut it in half and glued the two black pieces to the back of the Basic White label. The label was added to the card base on Dimensionals.

Pearlized Layered Florals card

Here is a card made to celebrate the wedding anniversary of lovely friends using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the pearlized layered florals card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Gorgeous Grape card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Gorgeous Grape card – 5⅞” by ⅞”
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using the Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder, I embossed the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card.

Onto the Silicon Mat I squeezed out about ½ teaspoonful of Pearlized Enamel Effects. I added 2 drops of Gorgeous Grape Re-inker and mixed with an old lolly stick.

Using an old piece of sponge, I applied the pearlized purple mixture to the embossed panel using circular motions. I then set it aside to dry.

The coloured panel was glued to the Gorgeous Grape layer and a length of the white Diagonal Striped Ribbon was wrapped around before the panel was adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

Masterfully Made card – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop where we are creating projects based on a Tic, Tac, Toe board. I have chosen to use the line down the left hand side – Thank you, Embossing & DSP. I used the Masterfully Made designer series paper and the layered Florals 3D Embossing Powder to make my card.

Using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder I ran the panel of dsp through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine using the Speciality Plate. I placed the embossed piece on my Glass Mat with the de-bossed side uppermost.

The Starry Sky ink pad was then repeatedly rubbed over the dsp panel until the colour was dark enough and the Fresh Freesia dsp showed up nicely. The inked dsp panel was then glued to the  5⅜” by 3⅝” layer of Basic White card.

A length of ribbon was then wrapped around the panel, secured with Tear & Tape and the whole piece was then glued to the Starry Sky card base.

One of the pretty frames from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set was stamped onto scrap Fresh Freesia using Starry Sky ink. The frame was then punche out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. The sentiment, from the Biggest Wish stamp set was stamped inside the frame using the same ink. I punched a white hexagon, cut it in half from side to side and glued it to the reverse of the sentiment with a little bit peeking out at the top and the bottom. The sentiment was mounted over the ribbon on Dimensionals.

Pink Dogwod collage style card

I have used the pretty Detailed Dogwood stamp set to make a pretty pink dogwood collage style floral card for  friend.

Colours in this card are:

 

To recreate the pink dogwood card, you will need:

Bubble Bath card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5½” by 3¾”
Berry Burst card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Berry Burst card

 

On the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card, I randomly stamped the dogwood flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I randomly added the cross-hatch strip using the same ink. The little medallion image was randomly stamped in the same black ink and finished with the leafy sprig image.

I added colour to the centre of each blossom using a  Dark Bubble Bath Blends Pen. Blended in a little Light Bubble Bath ink taking card to leave some white space on each petal. A little Light Berry Burst was added to the points of the medallion and finally a little Light Lemon Lolly to the flower centres.

Using a Blending Brush I added Berry Burst ink around the edges of the panel before gluing it to the Berry Burst panel.

I wrapped a length of Bubble Bath Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Tear & Tape and adhered the panel to the Basic Black layer. The whole piece was glued to the Bubble Bath card base.

The sentiment, from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set was stamped in Berry Burst ink onto scrap Basic White card. I punched the sentiment out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I also punched a hexagon from scrap Berry Burst card. I cut it in half and added it to the back of the stamped hexagon leaving a little Berry Burst showing top and bottom. The label was then mounted onto the card base on Dimensionals,

Trusty Tools card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based on a colour challenge. The colours we were given screamed ‘MASCULINE’ to me so I used the new Trusty Tools stamp set which will be available in my online shop from the 4th of January 2024.

To recreate the trusty tools card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

I began by stamping the hammer, wrench and paint brush images from the Trusty Tools stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Back ink.

Using Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy ink, I stamped the infill handles of the hammer and the paintbrush.

The sentiment, from the Throughout the Year stamp set, was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto the square of Basic White card. I then punched the sentiment out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I stamped the ‘nuts and bolts’ image in Crushed Curry ink above and below the sentiment.

Here is another pretty Christmas card made using the Fragrant Forest stamp set.

I stamped the Fragrant Forest background stamp in Shaded Spruce ink onto the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

Using a trimmer I cut the stamped layer into 1” panels. These were glued to the 5½” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card leaving a small gap between each piece.

This panel was then glued to the Night of Navy layer and then glued to the Shaded Spruce card base.

A strip of Tear ‘N Tape was added to the card front and I looped some of the 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine and pressed the loops into the tape to secure it.

The sentiment, from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card. I punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I also punched another from the scrap Night of Navy card. I cut the Navy label in half and added it behind the white tag showing just a little colour top and bottom.

The sentiment was added on Dimensionals over the Twine and a trio of Tinsel Gems completed the card.
