Hello and welcome to the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing projects celebration a graduation. I have made my card using star shape from the Beautiful Balloons Dies.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the you’re a star card, you will need:
Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Real Red card – 4¾” by 3”
Basic White card – 4½” by 2¾”
Basic Black card – 3” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Azure Afternoon
I began by die-cutting the large and small stars using the dies from the Beautiful Balloons die set and scrap Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Azure Afternoon card.
The die cut stars were then laid out onto the small panel of Basic White card to work out the positioning. Once I had them arranged, I lifted them one at a time and glued them in place using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The overhanging pieces of stars were trimmed off with scissors and the layer was glued to the Real Red panel which was added to the Azure Afternoon card base on Dimensionals.
I tucked strips of Basic White, Daffodil Delight and Real Red card under the lower right-hand corner.
The sentiment, from the Charming Sentiments stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Black ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and used my Heat Tool to set it. I flagged the ends before adding it to the card front on Mini Glue Dots as I did not want to add anymore height to the card.
A trio of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins completed the card.
Please continue around the hop to see want lovely projects my friends have to share today.
