The Delivering Cheer stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a sweet and quirky Christmas card

Delivering Cheer for Christmas

I have been playing with the pretty Delivering Cheer stamp set from the new July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue. This set reminds me of those dress up paper dolls we used to have as children where you could change their clothes, loved them.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Delivering Cheer card, you will need:

Pear Pizzazz card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5” by 2½” – rounded upper right corner
Real Red card – 5⅞” by ⅜”
Heartwarming Hugs dsp – 5⅞” by 1½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside

Using the ‘Christmas Tree’ image, I stamped around the Pear Pizzazz card front with Pear Pizzazz ink then added the strip of Heartwarming dsp using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Delivering Cheer stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White.

Using Basic Gray ink I stamped the tree image towards the top of the same panel and added the lower half of the girl using the same ink.

I coloured in the stamped image using the following Blends Alcohol Markers – Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Ivory.

Using the Penned Flower Dies, I die cut the pretty scalloped edge from the strip of Real Red card. The die cut edge was then glued to the back of the stamped panel using the liquid glue. The panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Red Rhinestones.

Such a simple, pretty card. I hope you like it.

Hand Delivered Balloons for a Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop

Stamp 'N Hop blog hop by Mo Rootes

Hello and welcome back to another Stamp ‘N Hop. I am joining you from a village 10 miles outside the beautiful city of Cambridge in the UK. In this hop we are teasing you with some of our favourite pre-order items from the new Annual Catalogue which will be available from the 1st June 2018.  If you have hopped over from Tracie Marie Lewis I am sure your loved her project, as did I.

For this month’s blog hop I have chosen the  Hand Delivered Stamp Set. This sweet stamp set is a hostess only purchase and has so many quirky images which can be used for many different occasions and I especially like the ‘to the graduate’  and the ‘hope you feel better soon’ sentiments.

Making the card

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 3⅞” by 2⅞” which I adhered to the bottom left hand corner of a Whisper White card base using a little Snail Adhesive. I stamped the skirt and legs of the girl onto the panel  using Momento Tuxedo Black ink and added the top of the girl holding the balloons, deliberately stamping off the edge onto the card base. I then lifted the stamped panel off the card base which I set aside.

Taking the following Stampin’ Blends Pens I coloured in the girl and the balloons – light & dark Rich Razzelberry, light & dark Pink Pirouette, light & dark Pool Party, light Bermuda Bay and the Colour Lifter.

Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper left corner of the stamped and coloured panel and added it to a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 4” by 3” with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. I used the same punch to round the corner. I added this piece to the card base on Stampin’ Dimensionals taking care to match up the balloons.

I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzelberry ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed it out using scissors. I added it to the card front with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I absolutely love the simplicity of this set and I really wish there was a male version.

I am so enjoying being part of this amazingly talented group of demonstrators from around the world. To carry on hopping click on the button below or click on the link to the lovely Linda Handford and see what she has chosen to share with us this month.
