A pretty card made for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop sketch challenge using the Lifetime of Love stamp set and Gilding Flakes by Stampin' Up!

Lifetime of Love card for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are working with a sketch and the added instruction to provide some sparkle. I have used the Lifetime of Love stamp set to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the lifetime of love card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 1¼” & 4⅛”
Berry Burst card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Bubble Bath card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White and Berry Burst

Three of the stamps from the Lifetime of Love stamp set were mounted onto a single acrylic block, size D.

The images were then inked up with Berry Burst ink and randomly stamped onto the Bubble Bath panel.

Across the panel I ran 2 strips of Tear & Tape as per the sketch. I removed the backing paper to reveal the adhesive and dipped the panel, face down into my tub of Gilded Leafing.

I used a soft brush to remove the excess gilded leafing revealing the stripes. The stamped panel was glued to the Berry Burst layer and then to the Thick Basic White card front.

The sentiment, from the Go To Greetings stamp set was stamped in Berry Burst ink onto scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Double Oval Punch. The scalloped oval was punched out of scrap Berry Burst card and glued to the sentiment. The whole piece was added to the card front.

A Gilded Happiness card for the Adhesives Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Adhesives Blog Hop where we are sharing projects and tips using some of the adhesive options. I am sharing a pretty gilded happiness card using gilding flakes and the Happiness Abounds stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the gilded happiness card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Calypso Coral card – 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic Gray card – ½” strip
Scrap Basic White card

I placed the smaller panel of Basic White card onto my Silicon Mat and added strips of Tear ‘n Tape Adhesive in the lower left corner. I cut off the excess. Using the Silicon mat means I don’t have to worry about the tape sticking to everything else!!!

The backing paper was removed and I carefully, dunked the sticky panel into my tub of gliding flake. I love the gilding flakes but my goodness you can make a real mess with them if you aren’t careful. I used a Blending Brush to rub away the excess flakes revealing the golden stripes. The panel was then added to the Calypso Coral panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive which gives a little wiggle room to get the layer perfectly positioned. The panel was then added with the same liquid glue to the Petal Pink card front.

I stamped 3 of the flowers and 3 sets of leaves from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut them out using the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

The flowers were coloured using Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Blends Pens and the leaves using Old Olive Blends Pens. I used Gray Granite Blends to colour the flower centres.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Gray card, covered with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. I flagged the end with Scissors and added it to the card base with a Dimensional on right and liquid glue on the left.

Seasise Seashells embossing Folder by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty gold flecked card

Gold Flecked Seashells

I have been playing with the gorgeous Sand & Sea Suite today and Oh My Goodness it is stunning: I especially love the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder which gives the most amazing texture.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the seashells card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner – inside
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla & Balmy Blue

I used a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and a pea-sized blob of Frost White Shimmer Paint to spray the smaller So Saffron panel. I left it to one side to dry, so sparkly……

When the panel was dry, I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder.

I gently rubbed my Versamark ink pad over the top of embossed panel, covered the panel with Heat & Stick Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I covered the layer with Gold Gilding Flakes, rubbed off the excess and used one of the Blending Brushes to burnish. I wrapped some Lace Trim around it the panel and used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the embossed panel to the larger Very Vanilla panel. The whole piece was added to the Misty Moonlight card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped both types of fronds using Night of Navy or Balmy Blue ink and the starfish in Night of Navy ink, all on scrap Very Vanilla card. I stamped the small clam in Balmy Blue ink on scrap Balmy Blue card. I used my Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to draw some lines on the clam shell, let it dry until tacky then rubbed on some Gold Gilding Flakes.

A lovely floral gilded art card made using Stampin' Up! product from the new Jan-June 2021 catalogue

Gilded Art for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where our theme this month is ‘New Goodies’. I have chosen to make a gilded art card for you. With the January – June 2021 and Sale-A-Bration catalogues coming out on the 5th January and lots of goodies from my pre-order to play with, I have been spoilt for choice. If you have hopped on from Karen Egan I am sure you loved her project

To recreate the gilded art card, you will need:

Just Jade card base – 8¼ by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Gorgeous Grape – 5 ½” by 3 ¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
Scrap Whisper White

I really, really wanted to play with the gilding flakes but didn’t have any Heat & Stick Powder – so I improvised by sticking strips of Tear & Tape along all 4 sides of one of the Whisper White panels. I removed the backing and covered the tape with the flakes, rubbed them onto the tape with my fingers to remove the excess flakes and bring out the shine. I absolutely love the effect.

The stem and leaves from the Art Gallery stamp set were stamped in Just Jade ink onto the edged panel before it was added to the Gorgeous Grape layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a length of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The solid part of the flower was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink onto scrap Whisper White card and the more detailed layer was added using the same ink. The centre of the flower was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. Using the Floral Gallery Dies I cut out the flower and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.
