A get well card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Caring Leaves stamp set from Stampin' Up! used with ink refills and the baby wipe technique.

Caring Leaves card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing colouring techniques. I have chosen to make my card using the Caring Leaves stamp set and ink refills and the baby wipe technique, one of my favourite colouring techniques.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the caring leaves card, you will need:

Garden Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Gold Foil card – 5⅛” by 3½”
Early Espresso card – 5” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 4⅞” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Cherry Cobbler card – 4⅛” by ¾”

I began by making up my ‘ink pad’ using a couple of baby wipes and 3 or 4 drops of the following re-inkers – Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Pecan Pie.

Both solid leafy images were inked up on my homemade ink pad and randomly stamped all over the 4⅞” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card.

The sketchy outer images of each stamp were added over each leaf using Early Espresso ink. The panel was then glued to the Early Espresso panel and then to the panel of Gold Foil. The whole piece was adhered to the Garden Green card base.

Using the Greetings of the Season Dies I die cut a label from the strip of Cherry Cobbler card. I ran it through twice as I wanted it shorter with a flagged banner at each end.

Partial Die Cut Bird card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring partial die-cutting techniques. I have chosen to use the Aspen dies and the Perched In A Tree stamp set to make a get well card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the partial die cut bird card, you will need:

Lemon Lime Twist card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Stargazing dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾

The bird from the Perched In A Tree stamp set was stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. I placed the bird die in position and used a bit of washi tape to secure it in position. In the Cut and Emboss Machine I placed the top C plate in position covering only the top of the bird and stopping at the feet. I ran it through and then cut off the excess card either side of the bird with my trimmer.

I added the branch from the Sweet Songbird stamp set in 2nd generation Pecan Pie ink and added leaves in Granny Apple Green ink. At this point I decided I would cut down the image using the largest of the stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies. A get well card made using the Make and Take supplies from OnStage including a piece of the Perennial Essence dsp

Perennial Essence sneak peek

Today I am sharing a card made using some of the Make & Take supplies from OnStage. I hardly ever get around to making the projects up on the day, usually too busy talking……… When I do get around to making them up I often go rogue and create something different with the supplies we were given. Here is the card made using some of the supplies from the Perennial Essence suite.

Recreating the Perennial Essence dsp card

I trimmed down the designer series paper (dsp) panel from the Make & Take pack to the size I needed, rounded the lower left corner with the Detailed Trio Punch. I adhered the dsp to Whisper White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a length of the Polka Dot Tulle around the panel and attached it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then glued to the Blackberry Bliss card base with the liquid adhesive.

I die cut 3 flowers from the Well Written dies using my Big Shot and added them to the sentiment panel with Mini Glue Dots and added some Artisan Pearls to the centres of the flowers. A Polka Dot Tulle bow was then added with another Mini Glue Dot.

I have to say this dsp is absolutely stunning, very Monet-esque and the colour palette is gorgeous. I hope you like the card.
