Here is a sweet sailing back card made for a friend using the Let’s Set Sail stamp set and Sailboat Punch.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the sailing back card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pacific Point card – 3¾” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3½” by 2⅝
Scrap Soft Suede, Pacific Point and Basic White card
I inked up the Gentle Waves stamp set in Pacific Point ink and stamped it on the lower third of the small Basic White panel. Using a Blending Brush, I added Pacific Point ink to the bottom of the panels over the stamped waves.
I placed a circle, punched out using a ¾” circle punch from a Post It Note, near the top of the panel and used Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush to add colour to the sky. I removed the mask and added a little So Saffron ink with a Dauber.
The birds were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto the sky and the panel added to the Pacific Point panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The sentiment, from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set was stamped in Pacific Point ink at the base of the Thick Basic White card front. The birds were stamped in Basic Gray ink across the top of the card front.
I flagged the ends of a strip of Poppy Parade and Pacific Point card and added them behind the decorated panel and added the piece to the card front using the liquid glue.
The mast and body of the boat was punched from Soft Suede card using the Sailboat Punch. The sails were stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto scrap Basic White and punched out using the same punch. I added the pieces to the card front on Dimensionals.
A great masculine card, I hope you like it.
