Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I have made a shaded poinsettia card using scraps of the gorgeous Boughs of Holly designer Series Paper (dsp) which were left over from another project.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the shaded poinsettia Christmas card, you will need:
Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Boughs of Holly dsp – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Boughs of Holly dsp
I die cut a large scalloped circle from the gorgeous Boughs of Holly dsp, placed it onto the Shaded Spruce card front to get an idea for position and stamped around it with a tree from the Trees For Sale stamp set and Shaded Spruce ink.
A loop od Gold Shimmer Ribbon was then secured to the card front with Tear ‘n Tape.
A slightly smaller circle was die cut from the square of Basic White card and the sentiment from the Penguin Place stamp set was stamped towards the bottom in Real Red ink. The circles were then adhered together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I fussy cut one of the pretty poinsettias from the Boughs of Holly dsp and added it to the Basic White circle on Dimensionals. The whole piece was then added to the card front with the same liquid glue.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Sequins completed the card.
Please hop over to see what my stamping friends have been working on recently.
