Friends For Life card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by the roll of dice. I have used the Friends for Life Dies to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the friends for life card, you will need:

Thick Basic card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Scrap Basic White, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black

Using the Friends for Life Dies I die cut the ‘strip’ from scraps of Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel and Gorgeous Grape card.

The die cut strips were then glued to the Thick Basic White card front. I die cut a heart in each of the five colours and added them to the card front.

The outline ‘friend’ was die cut from Basic White card and the more detailed word was die cut from scrap Basic Black card. These were adhered together and added to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

A trio of Transparent Adhesive-backed Dots completed the card.

Those of you who know me know I love a leaf set and the new Love of Leaves stamp set and gorgeous Stitched Leaves dies are right up my street.

To recreate the Love of Leaves card you will need:

Coastal Cabana – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner x 2
Coastal Cabana – 3½” by ¾”
Whisper White – 3¼” by ½”
Scrap Whisper WhiteGranny Apple Green – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner

I stamped the largest leaf onto one of the large Whisper White panels in Granny Apple Green ink, I turned the stamp around again and stamped the image in 2nd generation ink.

I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink onto the strip of Whisper White card and used the Pick a Label Punch to shape the end.. I matted the sentiment onto the Coastal Cabana strip having punched the end to match. This was added to the panel on Dimensionals.
