Today I am sharing a card made for the Inspire Create #037 challenge and the Freshly Made Sketches #376 challenge. I have chosen to use the Tropical Chic stamp set with the sentiment taken from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.
Making the challenge card
I began with a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5¼” by 3½”. Using a pencil and ruler I drew a pencil line about a third of the way up from the bottom. I inked up the large ‘palm’ type leaf from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Mint Macaron ink and stamped it twice below the line. Next I added 2 flowers in Daffodil Delight ink and the larger leaf in Pool Party ink, making sure to keep them all below the line.
Next I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set with Mint Macaron ink onto a piece of Whisper White 3½” by 1”. I laid this sentiment piece onto the stamped panel roughly where I wanted to adhere it then moved it down slightly to allow me to stamp the line image from side to side in Pool Party ink.
The sentiment piece was then added to the stamped layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper left corner of the stamped panel and the upper left corner of a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered them together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The topper panel was added with the same adhesive to a Mint Macaron card base with a rounded upper left corner. I punched 3 flowers using one of the Bitty Blooms Punches and added them to the card with Mini Glue Dots. The flowers were then added to the card front with the Mini Glue Dots.
Such a pretty, fresh looking card and I really like this colour combo. Let me know what you think.
