Today I am sharing the cards made for the June 2024 Christmas Stampathon. This month our theme is ‘Into The Woods’. I have made my cards using the Fragrant Forest background stamp.
Colours used in these projects are:
To recreate the fragrant forest cards, you will need:
Pool Party card base 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Shaded Spruce card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card
Using the retired Birch Trees Embossing Folder, I embossed the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card and adhered it to the rectangle of Shaded Spruce card.
I wrapped a length of retired green twine around the panel twice, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then glued to the Pool Party card base.
The Fragrant Forest stamp was inked up with Shaded Spruce ink and stamped down onto scrap Basic White card. I then cut out the section I wanted using the largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Using a Blending Brush, I added Pool Party ink to the die cut circle.
I die cut a slightly larger deckled circle from the square of Shaded Spruce card. The stamped circle was glued to the deckled circle before being added to the card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto scrap Basic White card. I cut the sentiment down, flagged one end and added it to the card front.
A twine bow was added using a Mini Glue Dot and a trio of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls finished the card.
