Party Patterns dsp and the In The Moments stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty thank you card for the Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop

In The Moment, Paper Pieced for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the first Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop of 2022. Our theme is ‘Mixing the Old with the New’. I have chosen to use the to make a girl in the window thank you card using the new In the Moments stamp set and the old Party Patterns dsp for a bit of paper piecing.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the In the Moment card, you will need:

Pale Papaya card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Party Patterns dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Misty Moonlight card – 3⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 3½” by 3” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 2” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside

Using scissors, I flagged the end of the long strip of Party Patterns dsp and added it to the Pale papaya card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Scrap Basic White, Flirty Flamingo & So Saffron

I lined up the panel of Oh So Ombre dsp in the Stamparatus, inked up the large image from the Corner Bouquet stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink and stamped it down. I repeated this step to get a deeper colour. Turning the panel of dsp around 180° I stamped the image again in the opposite corner, twice.

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut a stitched rectangle from the middle of the stamped panel using one of the Rectangle Stitched dies.

I turned the panel centre panel 180° so that it is the opposite way to the frame piece and added it back into the negative space using Dimensionals.

I punched some small flowers from scrap Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron card using the Confetti Flower Punch. These were added to the card front using Mini Glue dots. A Basic Rhinestone was added to the centre of each flower.

The sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set was stamped onto the Oh So Ombre dsp using Mossy Meadow ink. It was trimmed out using Scissors. I added a stitched scalloped border cut from a scrap of Basic White card using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I added the border using the same liquid glue.

I hope you like it, I am sure Mum will.

A pretty card made using the Touched My Heart stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Leafy Vines for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is ‘It’s All About Love Baby’. If you have joined me from Rochelle Laird’s blog, welcome. I have made a leafy vines card using the sweet Touched My Heart stamp set. This set has been on my shelf for a few months and this was the ideal opportunity to use it.

To recreate the leafy vines card, you will need:

Just Jade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Real Red – 5 ½” by 3 ¾”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – one for the inside
Flowers For Every Season dsp
Scrap Basic White

I stamped 3 of the heart and vine images across one of the Basic White layers in Early Espresso.

Using one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut out the central heat image.

I glued the negative frame to the Real Red panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. A length of Real Red Sheer Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and then the whole piece was added to the Just Jade card base.

Using the following Blends Markers I coloured in the image on the die cut panel – Real Red, Just Jade and Pool Party. The panel was then added to a piece of Flowers For Every Season dsp which had been die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. This panel was then added to the card front using Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Treasures of Life stamp set was stamped in Just Jade ink onto scrap Basic White which was then trimmed down and added to the card using both liquid glue and Dimensionals.

To complete the card I added a ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot and a trio of Red Rhinestones.

Such a pretty card. Please hop on to see what Deb Naylor has to share with us today.
