Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘Anything But a Card’. I like to give the ladies who come to my monthly class a little treat and these little, no glue treat holders – made to hold 2 Merci chocolates – were made for my April class attendees. I was inspired by a YouTube video made by The Paper Pixie.
To recreate the no glue, treat holder, you will need:
DSP – 4⅝” by 3¾” Scrap Basic White & Gorgeous Grape
Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the dsp using the thicker end of the stylus. I find if I use the thinner end on dsp I often tear the paper.
I scored on the short side at – ¾”, 1½”, 2¼” and 3” and on the long side at ¾” and 3⅞”.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty little no glue treat box to hold 2 Merci chocolates for the ‘Anything but a card’ Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop
As per the template above, I scored on the diagonal the 4 inner squares on either end, using the stylus from the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty little no glue treat box to hold 2 Merci chocolates for the ‘Anything but a card’ Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop
Using a Bone Folder and folded and burnished all the straight score lines, then using my fingers folded down the diagonal score lines.

Two Merci chocolates were placed on the centre panel and the sides folded up and the ends closed.

The sentiment, from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set, was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Hydrangea Dies. The small labels were then added to the box with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A pretty little no glue treat box to hold 2 Merci chocolates for the ‘Anything but a card’ Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop
A small flower, die cut from scrap Gorgeous Grape card, was added with a Mini Glue Dot to complete the boxes.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Count on Me Stamp set and Dandy Designs dsp used to make a pretty Koala themed get well card
The cute koala image was stamped in memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small square of Basic White card. This was then die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Using the same dies, I die-cut a larger circle from the Rich Razzleberry square to add behind the stamped image. I felt the piece needed something else so die-cut a scalloped circle, a tiny bit bigger than the white circle from the square of Blushing Bride card. The three pieces were the glued together.

The leaves from the Flowering Tulips stamp set were stamped in Old Olive ink onto Pear Pizzazz card and die cut them out using the Tulip Dies. The outer tulip parts were die-cut from scarp Blushing Bride card and the inner tulip parts from Flirty Flamingo card. I put them together using Mini Glue Dots and added colour to the base of the petals using the Flirty Flamingo Blends Pens. The Mint Macaron leaves were die cut using the Natural Prints Dies. I made this card for a recent team challenge where the theme was ‘cheer me up’. I don’t know about you but the adorable bunny from the Playing in the Rain stamp set never fails to make me smile…… I love him and have made my oh happy day card using some paper piecing.
Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Sweet Sorbet card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside Scrap 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp

The bunny was then stamped again using the same ink onto a scrap of 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp. I then used my sharp scissors to trim out the bunny’s jacket. The jacket was then glued in place on to the original stamped bunny.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -The Playing in the Rain stamp set used to make a bright and cheerful card for a team challenge
I wanted the bunny to be white but added some colour to the ears and nose using the SU1000 Blends Pen from the Naturals Collection. The puddle was coloured used the Balmy Blue Blends Pens.
To ‘ground’ the bunny I outlined it using the light Soft Sea Foam Blend and feathered the colour with the Color Lifter

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have chosen to share the enjoy the run birthday card made for my husband’s upcoming birthday using the Enjoy the Day designer series paper. He is a keen ultra-runner and loves to run in 30 – 100-mile events – so this dsp and the co-ordinating Greatest Journey Dies were perfect for his birthday card.
To recreate the enjoy the run card, you will need:
Starry Sky card base – 11” by 5½” – scored at 2¾” and 5½” Basic White card – 5⅜” by 5⅜” Enjoy the Journey dsp – 5¼” by 5¼” Basic White card – 5⅜” by 2⅝” Enjoy the Journey dsp – 5¼” by 5¼”
Thick Basic White inner card base – 9¼” by 4¼” Enjoy the Journey dsp – 4⅛” by 3⅝” Enjoy the Journey dsp – 4⅛” by 2⅝” Scrap Basic White and Basic Black Basic White card – 5¼” by 5¼”
Using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive I glued the larger pieces of designer series paper (dsp) – I used the starry sky patten – to the slightly larger panels of Basic White card. The panels were then glued to the Starry Sky card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Enjoy the Journey designer series paper used to make a card for a double Z fold card for a runner and shared in the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I die cut 3 or 4 of the ‘ground’ strips from scrap Basic Black card and laid them out along the bottom of the 3 smaller panels of dsp – I used the green mountains and trees pattern – I moved them around until I got the look of a connected strip of ground.
Journey designer series paper used to make a card for a double Z fold card for a runner and shared in the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
The die cut strips were then trimmed to fit and glued to the panels of dsp. The panels were the added to the Thick Basic White inner card base using the same liquid adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Enjoy the Journey designer series paper used to make a card for a double Z fold card for a runner and shared in the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I die cut a number of ‘runners’ from scrap Basic Black card and added then to the scene with liquid glue.
The white inner card base was the positioned onto the Starry Sky card base and the front panel of both adhered together, making sure to only add glue to the left side of the Basic White piece.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Enjoy the Journey designer series paper used to make a card for a double Z fold card for a runner and shared in the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I added glue to the back of the Thick Basic White bae and closed the card, adhering it to the back panel of the Starry Sky card base.
Clouds were then die cut from scrap Basic White card and added them to the card.

The largest Basic White panel was then glued to the back of the card and decorated. This gives a place to write a message.
