Embossed Decorative Borders for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing heat embossing. I have made my card using the Decorative Borders stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the decorative border card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Sweet Sorbet card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I used the embossing buddy from the Embossing Accessories kit to cover the smaller Basic White panel with antistatic powder.

The leafy sprig was inked up with Versamark ink and covered with God Embossing Powder, I repeated this step before heat setting the images with my heat tool.

I stamped the single flower randomly in Versamark ink and covered it with Silver Embossing Powder. I heat set all the images.

Using the following Blends Alcohol Markers to colour in the images – Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet and Soft Succulent. I used a Blending Brush to add Soft Succulent ink around the edges of the decorated panel.

The panel was then glued to the Sweet Sorbet layer. A length of Linen Thread was wrapped three times around the panel before the whole piece was glued to the Soft Succulent card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink. I die cut it out using the Sentiment Silhouette Dies. I added the sentiment to the card front on Dimensionals.

A pink floral card with decorative borders and made using the Eden's Garden Bundle by Stampin' Up!

Eden’s Pink Garden

I love the pretty floral image from the new Eden’s Garden stamp set and wanted to try it stamped in Polished Pink to create an Eden’s pink garden.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Eden’s pink garden card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2 ¼”
Polished Pink card – 5⅞” by ¾” x 2
Polished Pink card – 4” by 2”
Basic Gray card – 3” by 1½”
Basic White card – 3” by 1½”
Scrap Polished Pink

I inked up the floral image with Polished Pink ink and randomly stamped all over the piece of Basic White card. I love the layered effect this dist-INK-tive stamp leaves.

Using the Eden Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I cut the detailed edge from both strips of Polished Pink card and adhered them to either side of the stamped panel. The whole piece was then added to the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals.

The Polished Pink ink was used to stamp all over the smaller piece of Polished Pink card. A tag was die cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies from the stamped piece.

I also die cut a smaller tag from both the Basic Gray and smaller Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Gray ink onto the Basic White tag. The tags were then glued together using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I die cut a hole protector from scrap Polished Pink card and glued it to the tags. I fed the Glittered Organdy Ribbon through the hole and tied a piece of Simply Elegant Trim in a bow around the organdie ribbon. The tags were then mounted on Dimensionals on the card front.
