Today I am sharing the project made at this week’s classes using the Daffodil Dies and co-ordinating Daffodil Afternoon dsp. Each person attending class received a 6^ by 6” pack of the Daffodil Afternoon dsp to use for their cards.
Colours used in these projects are:
Offset Slimline card
Pear Pizzazz card – 6” by 2¾”
Very Vanilla card – 11¾” by 2½” scored and folded at 5⅞”
Daffodil Afternoon dsp – 5¾” by 2½”
Very Vanilla – 4½” by 3½” – Die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Scrap Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry & Pear Pizzazz
We added the folded Very Vanilla card to the Pear Pizzazz panel.
The piece of Daffodil Afternoon dsp was added to the front of the Very Vanilla panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
We ran the die cut scalloped rectangle through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die. This adds texture without fussiness. The rectangle was then added, offset to the card front.
We then die cut the pieces for the daffodil and leaves from scrap Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz card. The leaves and stem were added to to the card front with liquid glue. The pieces of the daffodil were stuck together with liquid glue and added to the card front on Dimensionals.
To complete the card, we added a bow made from the black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tryptic Card
Mossy Meadow card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” – scored and folded at 4⅛”
Daffodil Delight card – 5⅜” by 2⅛”
Daffodil Afternoon dsp – 5¼” by 2”
Daffodil Delight card – 1⅝” by 2⅝” x 2
Daffodil Afternoon – 2½” by 1½” x 2
Basic Black card – 2½” by 2”
Very Vanilla card – 2½” by 2”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾”
After cutting the piece of Daffodil Afternoon dsp to the sizes given above, we adhered each piece to the slightly larger Daffodil Delight layer.
These panels were then added t the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The sentiment, from the Elegantly Said stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Very Vanilla card and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. We backed this with a Basic Black punched piece cut in half and added to the back. The sentiment was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
This is such a simple card to put together and is a great way to use dsp.
Strips of dsp card
Very Vanilla card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pear Pizzazz card – 5⅞” by 3”
Very Vanilla card – 5¾” by 2”
Daffodil Afternoon dsp – ½” strips
We cut ½” strips from our dsp sheets and added them to the Very Vanilla strip with glue. The excess pieces were trimmed off with scissors.
Using the Scalloped Contour Dies we die cut the scalloped border on one side of the Pear Pizzazz panel and added the panel of dsp strips with liquid glue.
We placed the piece on the card front for placement before stamping the sentiment in Old Olive ink.
A piece of the black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and the whole panel was then added to the Very Vanilla card front on Dimensionals. A bow made from the same ribbon was added to finish the card.
I hope you like the projects.
