Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is Spring/Autumn. I have chosen to make a cup of daffodils Spring themed card using the Daffodil Daydream Stamp set and the Cup of Tea stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the cup of daffodils card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5⅓” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

I stamped the leafy image in the upper left and lower right corner of the Granny Apple Green card front in Granny Apple Green ink and set it aside.

The striped cut from the Cup of Tea stamp set was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I stamped the image again onto masking paper, trimmed it out and used it to cover the stamped cup. The daffodils were then stamped onto the panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The mask was then removed.

Vintage Harvest for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects with a vintage theme. I have to say ‘vintage’ is way out of my comfort zone so this was quite a challenge for me.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the vintage harvest card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Very Vanilla card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Blushing Bride card – 5¼” by 3½”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede & Early Espresso

Using one of the images from the Natural Textures stamp set, I stamped all over the panel of Blushing Bride in Blushing Bride ink to give a subtle texture. I then tore down the right side of the panel. I used a Dauber to Crumb Cake ink around the edge of the piece.

I tore the edge of the smaller Very Vanilla piece and inked along the torn edge with the same ink.

I wrapped a length of Lace Trim around the Blushing Bride panel and added it to the Very Vanilla piece. The whole panel was added to the Crumb Cake card base. I inked around that as well with the Crumb Cake ink.

Using the Harvest Dies, I die cut the stems and flowers from scrap Soft Suede and Early Espresso card. I though the flowerhead was too dark so die cut it again from Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla card……….couldn’t make my mind up which I would like better. I used the speckle image from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set to stamp on the potential flowerheads with Soft Suede ink.

The Soft Suede stems were added to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the Early Espresso stems with Mini Dimensionals. I added the Blushing Bride flowerhead, then decided I liked the Very Vanilla so I added it on top, on Dimensionals, but slightly offset so that you see both. How’s that for indecision……….

The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink on scrap Very Vanilla card and die cut using a label from the Harvest dies. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

A bow made from the Lace Trim and a scattering of Brushed Metallic Dots completed the card.

Actually, I really like it and I hope you do also.

Please hop on to share what my fellow demos have been creating.
