Press On Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! - row of takeaway cups used for a tank you card

Row of Cups

Here is a pretty thank you card featuring a row of cups. These takeaway cups from the Press On stamp set are adorable and would make a sweet card for a coffee lover.

To recreate the row of cups card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored and folded at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 4⅛” by 2”
Just Jade – 4⅛” by ½” x 2
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside

I stamped the row of cups from the Press On stamp set onto the strip of Whisper White card in Soft Suede ink.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Just Jade ink. I love that colour.

Using Blends Markers, I coloured in the cups – Just Jade, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight. The stamped layer was then glued to the 2 strips of Just Jade card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A Christmas stamp set used to make a cute Anniversary card for the Stamp 'n Hop blog hop

Cup of …………Anniversary?

Welcome to the September Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme this month is ‘ any stamp set or dsp’.  If you have come from the lovely Sandra Herzog I am sure you loved her project. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the Uk. I hope you like what I am sharing today.

I don’t know about you but I love a set that can be used for more than one sort of occasion and as soon as I saw the Cup of Christmas stamp set in the Autumn/Winter catalogue I knew it would make a fantastic anniversary card.

To Recreate the Cup of…..Anniversary card you will need:

So Saffron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Bermuda Bay cardstock – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Whisper White cardstock

I began by stamping the 2 cups, one in Flirty Flamingo ink and the other in Bermuda Bay ink onto scrap Whisper White cardstock and die cut them out using the co-ordinating Cup of Cheer dies.

I placed them on one of the Whisper White panels for placement and added a Pearlised Doily.

At this point I wasn’t happy, I knew the card needed something else but I couldn’t decide what!!! Don’t you hate when that happens…….. I tried a couple of embossing folders but felt they over-powered the cups. I tried a coloured circle instead of the doily…….wasn’t happy with that either.

At this point I reached across my desk for my catalogue, seeking inspiration and accidently pulled out the pack of Basic Pattern Decorative Masks along with the catalogue. Light bulb moment right there!

I used a Sponge Dauber and So Saffron ink to colour through the mask and it was perfect, just what I was looking for.

The sponged panel was mounted onto the Bermuda Bay layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. To add a bit more texture to the card front I added some of the gorgeous Polka Dot Tuille Ribbon and tucked the Pearlised Doily underneath. The panel was then added to the So Saffron card base with the same adhesive.

The sentiment  from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and the cups placed on top of the doily, the striped cup with the same liquid glue and the spotty cup on Dimensionals.  I added a Polka Dot Tuille bow and a trio of Iridescent Sequins to complete the card front.

I stamped the striped cup on the remaining Whisper White panel and adhered it to the inside. The same image was stamped on the front of the envelope.

I do hope you like my card. Please continue on to see what Narelle Fasulo has to share with us.
