Today I am sharing these adorable little birdhouse treat boxes. I designed these for my Easter/Spring all-day Adult Education event on Sunday 25th March and decided to make the ladies one each as a table gift. They are just big enough to hold a crème egg ……yummy. I made them in a variety of spring colours.
I started with a piece of cardstock 6½” by 5¾”. Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool I scored on the 6½” side at 1½”, 3”, 4½”, and 6” and on the 5¾” side at 1½”, 3¾”, and 5¼”. I folded and burnished on all the score lines.
Using a sharp pair of scissors I trimmed as shown in the photo.
I placed the smallest heart from the Sweet and Sassy Framelit Dies on the 2nd rectangular panel from the ½” strip and ran it through the Big Shot.
I added Tear & Tape to the ½” strip and closed the side of the box. I used Tear & Tape again to close the bottom of the box. put the
I pinched in the top and clipped it together with a mini clothespin.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Birdhouse made using Stampin’ Up! productI took a piece of cardstock 5” by 2” and scored it on the 5” side at 2”, 2 ½” and 3” before running it through the Big Shot using the Ruffled Embossing Folder, gives it an almost tiled effect. I ran the panel through the Big Shot again using the scalloped die from the Apron Builder Framelit dies on either end.
I folded on the score lines and placed it over the top of the box and again used the mini clothespin to hold it in position.
Using the Petals & More Dies I die cut the branch using green cardstock and added it to the front of the birdhouse with Tombow.
This birdhouse is so adorable. I love it!
